we had cb's on our bicycles in the eighties used to borrow ! batteries from roadwork signs no phones for the masses in those days or internet god i'm old
Very nice mobile,I run a 1969 Lambretta scooter, too busy hanging on to have a rig on it........Top Video..............73's DAVE (M0OGY) North Lincolnshire ,UK.
What I would do, is that I would run some kind of cable, and mount the PTT button on the handle bars. And then some how, run the cable to an ear peice, so it won't be too hard taking the rig off to transmit. Otherwise, great setup!
Nice Scoot and good radio! 73's 2e1dxy

I have been a Ham since April 2001. I wanted to do this ever since I got my Vespa GTS 300 4 1/2 months ago.

you may want to replace that generator with a honda one.
it'll be quieter and better for the radio then the vespa one.
