They rarely perform their best against top teams but you got to admit, Iran has recently started to play well against powerhouses like Japan and South Korea. The best game Iran played against a top team for 90 mins has to be their World Cup qualifying match against Japan in March of 2005. Other than that, Iran rarely plays an all round good game.
