Better to enjoy the variety Bach's music is able to provide through many artistic opinions and modes of expression. He is much bigger than your box permits. Just dialogue with him. And listen to the answer. If it's a good connection, great. If you just can't extract the stick, he may not find you. However, doing it the original way would be great, too!!!!

I don't know why some people insist on performing the Bach's motets "a capella".

The surviving performing parts of this Bach motet show each voice of one choir doubled by strings, each voice of the other choir by winds, in addition to the customary basso continuo. At the very least, this should be performed with continuo with 16'.
