I have a huge apology to make, i saw you on this video expecting this to be a hilarious poorly made version of this song, even had my mouse ready over the dislike button. I only used the built-in mic from my laptop, so I'm afraid I'm not really one 'in the know'. Although I had a quick listen to your Amy vid (Beautiful, by the way!) and you do get a bit of distortion. You're obviously a more powerful singer than me! Maybe turn the gain down on your recording programme so it doesn't peak.

I recommend just have a play around being closer to the mic, quieter, or with different gain levels. Hope that helps. :)
