Also race cars often look slower on TV that they are going in real life. The ones if this scene are supposed to be going at 220MPH (confirmed by the writers), whether they really are is another story.

It is meant for people who like watching a bunch of dumb shits get killed as gory as possible even in the most bizzare situations. So enjoy the gore and hate the actual story.
