My 8 yr old son is Autistic and my other kids do very well with him so far. My 12 yr old boy will stand up for him if he gets teased and has came to me more than once and said If preston can't take care of himself when I am gone than he will do it so he doesn't go into a home. We try not to treat Preston different but sometimes you do. When he's older we plan on making him his own mini house with all his trains in our back yard so he feels some sort of independence with us still around.
I am diagnosed with PDD-NOS (Pervasive Development Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified). I Feel Physically Intelligent. But Educationally Challenged. I have visions of me not getting the concepts of preceding from one transition to another in life when I am an adult, and having a hard time identifying mathematical physics, and world events. I am always living in my Imagination, and thinking about, besides reality...................

this is a great documentary, i myself am creating a documentary on my autistic cousin and his family, this has been very useful, and a great insight into feelings of teenagers with autistic siblings.
