  • damn.. no words for true beauty

  • oops! I mean simply sublime!

  • I had the great privilege of hearing her sing this live at the band shell in Prospect Park. It was truly one of my favorite memories. Ricky Lee Jones is simple sublime.

  • Years DO go by soooo fast. I remember seeing her in 1979. Truly amazing! This song really does hit you right in the heart. Forever. And even as the years go by and life changes and changes and you move on. You never forget this beauty....never

  • Today the day we would call this ''pro''.

  • I agree! Never has there been a prophet or seer of time!

  • I agree!

  • Bittersweet song...first time I heard it was in the movie "Little Darlings"; funny thing; back then, she had an older sophisticated voice---I was 10, LOL. Now at 41, she has a childlike, innocent voice. Love her; she is timeless and beautiful.

  • so pure. so simple. so sad. we all have a special friend from our childhood that only exists in memory today. this song captures that sadness. genius.

  • A song can take you back 30 years ... just listening to this took me back to college days, such a simpler time!

  • I feel like crying every time I hear this song... Just like that... If some of you can find words to describe this song, I do not... Even the best word seems trivial...

  • My special friend just left this life....she gave me this song many years ago..I love you Lisa.

  • @129viaack oh bless. stay strong. years they do go by huh? x

  • i heard this song today for first time...( because i listened in Dr.House Episode 2)

I Dont Know Why, but i Cried!

  • @masterkillle She has a way to bring it back all home again.

  • hits home...

  • Such a beautiful short song. It's one of my favorites I don't want it to end.

  • In a programm on TV Jacqueline Govaerts performed this song on Guitar.

I realised I had this album somewhere. I put it on the 'player' and fell in love again with this album. In one word. Absolutely fantastic! (sorry, those were two words...)

  • The second great song I discovered watching the TV series Once and Again - never shown in Germany... I've never heard of her before - what a beautiful voice...

  • She gets no airplay on a station in my city of Ottawa, Can

  • RLJ is the greatest

  • This reminds me of being a kid ......... the sun was warm and the smell of freshly cut grass was in the air . It was Saturday and the day was full of possibilities . This song reminds me of the innocence and magic of that time . Great song .

  • Why the fuck would you put a link to your blog, that is in some fucked up language that most of the worlds population doesn't understand??

  • @TheApplecherry lmao, you're so naive that it kind of gets awesome in a twisted way! A lot more people speak japanese and chinese than you think!

  • I was 18-19 years old and living in the south of France for a year when I first started listening to this album. Probably one of the best years of my life, so of course this songs opens the flood gates of sweet memories.....I got some much tail that year!

  • ...and what a voice, she can do anything with it.

  • My favorite. South Town, Loves you Ricky

  • Thumbs for who remembers this from Alias! it had amazing music!

  • I totally loved this song in "Little Darlings" and didn't have any idea who the artist was (this was 1980 and there was no internet AND I was 12). Five years later I bought the album took one look at the lyrics and couldn't believe I had found it. I've been a fan ever since...

  • @DJKXI its so great when this happens. found the song, then found out it was in little darlings, which i then remembered. brought back some fond nostalgia!

  • the first time i listened to this song was in

    a movie called`little darling'.

    then i bought the album.

although this song is different from any other songs

    in the album,

that's why i like this song the most.

  • @marisilence, so nice to know I'm not the only one who fell in love with this song by watching "Little Darlings!" That's awesome. :)

  • @marisilence: *haha* I remember the first time I saw "Sex and the City." I thought, "oh my God--Miranda is Sunshine all grown up!"

  • So gorgeous and so sad.

  • @robbjmc SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL! First heard this in 1981 and I go all emotional!

  • Damn. I remember listening to that album over and over again on a 20 hour drive from LA to Seattle in 1979. This song was the only thing that kept me sane.
