  • I'm sure I wasn't the only once screaming BREAK! at the computer...

  • @swoodard4 i think you were. i think everyone else was screaming "BRAKE!!!"

  • oh, just a little ground effect, we'll get down in time

  • runway isn't the only place with skidmarks

  • that goes to show you being cheap about going around will get you

  • He forgot his suitcase lolz

  • Ther was no time to go around! He was in serious hurry because he needit to take a shit.

  • Love his skid marks on the runway.

  • That pilot is a bullaman!

  • hahha

  • Where is this? Thats crazy dude!

  • @yagoRj357 .. true i havent notice that!

  • He used less than 2/3 of the runway...

  • Ah! jegue!

  • L0l if that were me i;d be like: AWesome start to the holiday l0l

  • this narration is the best, "that kinda...blows"

  • Hey, any landing that you can walk away from is a good one. It may not be the best, but it will do.

  • Pilot saw the hot blonde on the beach, forgot to pull back.

  • i dont get it , why they never land the other way ?:|

  • @deluxer911 @deluxer911 @deluxer911 You have to landing into the wind pretty much, landing with a tail wind there from other direction would slam you into the mountain where this lot are standing.. also a tail wind can push you down the runway .. also if you have to To/GA coming in the other way.. you are climbing out with a large hill infront of you... Plus by 0:25 i would have been like

    * Full Power

    * G/A

    * Gear up

    * flaps up

    *TRY AND TRY AGAIN

  • should have put full power at 0:30

  • @nicof16 Yes, but he turned off the engines.

  • woahhhhhhh, 'crap'

  • He is dedicated!! Will land one way or the other!!! =-D

  • he was still in the air when he was out of runnway. student?

  • Well he did promise his girlfriend he was taking her to the beach:)

  • That kinda.... blows?

  • BAhahaha !! 0:42

  • What airport is this?

  • Impressive. So the pilot knows how to take off but doesn't know how to land?

  • haha you took that so calmly!

  • Saint Barth is one of the most difficult airport in the West Indies with Sabba Island, in fact pilots need a special training to land there! You better have a strong stomach landing there, it's like felling down on the last second of the approach... It is not uncommon to see planes ending up on the sea or on the beach of St Jean right next to it, it's also a great show seating on the top of Gustavia Road, where planes are flying 10 feets over the cars before ducking onto the so short runaway!

  • when it pass the cameraman "Stop! STOOOOOOP! OH F**** STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!" Crash "houston we got a promblem."

  • He was way too high on the approach. In my opinion, he should've done a go around.

  • TWO WORDS. GO AROUND!

  • Number one i would of gone around! and number two if i was ever in that situation my life would of flashed before me lol i was so scared just watching this!

  • Dumb ass shouldn't even be flying a plane. I kept saying to myself, power power power CRASH! damn it

  • GASP!!!

  • As soon as he passed the threashold he should have simply advanced the throttles, did a touch and go and go around. Obviously he never attemted this runway before. Bad rookie mistake

  • @check6ii Agreed...

A lot o money in repairs... when he could have taken 5-10 mins to go around.

  • @check6ii I'd go around even earlier. Before touch down. Even if its my first landing at this airstrip. As a pilot he should have common sense and responsibility to always be 100%...

  • Powered down with the intention of stopping when he should've been thinking about powering back up & getting the fuck outta Dodge. Must've been drunk like most other pilots ;o)

  • tht land was to short neeeded to touch ground way early

  • i bet the pilet is dead

  • 0:39 is funny

  • welcome to the beach...have a fun time....i hope you chose meas a polit when you leave....

  • EPIC and horrible runway place xD where is it??

  • @fireshard22 St.Barts in Caribbean.

  • That was awesome! I have no idea what went wrong. There is no way to tell. i guess the tires failed and the sand was too close to the runway.

  • @tn66367 Each of the stripes, and blank spaces down the middle are 100 feet long.

Basically, he touched down with 600 feet of pavement in front of him, probably at around 80 mph

The big white rectangles are called "aiming point markers", the pilot should be able to just see those out the front window, when his wheels touch the ground. (I mean the markers on the 10 side)

  • if only it were a float plane....

  • a very lucky capture ....

  • because you fuck heads parking there put him off his landing lol

  • He should have aborted landing way before he got to the runway !!

  • best commentary ever...

  • where is this airport?

  • be careful wot yuo wish for aint that rite earlgene hahaa !

  • Lmao. 'Crap'

  • bad pilot

  • fuck this, where is the sun protection?

  • Flare too soon ?

  • This airport requires a special certificate to fly into. There is no go around for this airport because of how it lies in the mountains. The way he came in is the same way he would have to go out. Notice there are no touchdown marks on the runway where he ended. Mistakes happen and this is an example. Happy flying!

  • @spryguy2008 If you can take off of a runway you can do a go around off that run way also it is a non precision runway which means the IAP has a missed approach procedure off of it

  • @222airplane2222 He meant that he couldn't "go around" facing the direction he was facing but rather the opposite one. I am not familiar with this airport but it sure is a tricky approach.

  • Landings are nothing but controlled crashes. Pilot's saying: A good landing is one you can walk away from. So it is a good landing after all. He did seem to be going way too fast. Dont know what that was about... Too bad for the aircraft

  • Talk about hitting the beach as soon as we land. Lol.

The fool floated it to far, should of been a go around.

  • who puts a runway on uneven land and the starting point is blocked by a hill

  • wow!!!

  • He meant to do that...

  • i need the name of this airport...plz can someone tell me? tanks

  • @nikorski1

    St.brathelmy

  • @nikorski1

    St.brathelmy

    In nethreland Antilles

  • @TheLastGlacier thanks

  • Just because you can afford to fly doesnt mean you can. This dufus should be in a car

  • best camera man in the world

  • dude, he shouldve aborted landing BEFORE he hit the ground, i mean, that runways short, and he was still in the air when he's halfway through the runway. he should know that hes not gona stop in time.

  • He should abort landing. Full power, flap off and try again.

  • Epic fail!

    Why didn't he/she go around??!!

  • I think the pilot does not know the meaning of GO AROUND. lolz.

  • I wouldn't even land my R/C plane there...who the fuck built that landing strip???

  • thanx for calling for help.... lol

  • that pilot is so freakin fired

  • He would've made it if it weren't for a shit head standing on top of the hill with a video camera.

  • FAIL!

  • I have no idea why this guy didn't go missed approach. I mean - it's a nightmarish approach and all, so I can understand why he didn't want to have to do it again, but the plane may well be totaled; it had to have been seriously (and expensively) damaged, at the very least.

  • That runway is too short and it is facing the sea lol I hope the pilot didn't get hurt lol.

  • I wanna go swimming as soon as possible!

Do you think he used full flaps? They seem to me like 30°

It's always better to make a nice go around than nice ditch

  • Don't you want to come in for the approach from the other side of the airport? Cause at least you have a hill on the other side so you don't do something stupid like go in the water like this guy.....

  • @Wako098 check the windsock. The wind is quite strong for an approach from the other side. Not mentioning that the ATC usually dislike when you don't follow their commands :)

  • @kubasc True, but you could do a full throttle landing.

  • @Wako098 clearly you need to study your aerodynamic fundamentals a little more

  • @8literbeater Clearly, you are a moron who doesn't know what he is talking about. If you're going into strong winds in an aircraft like that, you want 1/2 throttle or more.

  • @Wako098 That's hilarious! You're rude but I'm glad you're interested in aviation. I'll tell you what, the next time you're in the Phoenix area, send me a message and let me know. I'll take you up for an hour or so and let you get some time in the seat. No charge. You have my word on it.

But seriously, stop with the spewing on the internet, you're making yourself look bad. Two ears to listen with, only one mouth to talk with. Listen twice as much as talking, it's good for the mind.

    seeya

  • @8literbeater I'm rude when I can be. 8D

  • tolol emang . .

  • that kindov.......blows

    lol

  • what air port is that

  • @TheMr2proskater I think it's St.Barthelemy

    youtube.com/watch?v=k0Dft5X5Q-Y

  • He wanted his plane to be " beachfront " property. LOL

  • yuppie driver gets out of his beemer/benz and into his plane... same driver lol

  • the speed wasn't the problem, he waited too long to touch-down...

  • maybe next time

  • what a shit pilot, he new he was touching down too late, he should have gone around

  • The Plane is Baron 58 or Piper Seneca ? Wrong fucking Landing U_u' Go around ! Go around !

  • Two words: Go around!

  • its called a go around lol

  • Was the pilot stupid ? Why didnt he go around ?

  • Pilot error. Should have seen that IAS was too high, and went around.

  • @robbynelson3 his approach wasnt to high, he was going to fast for saint barthelemy. Its already a hard airport to land at when you've got no wind that comes into factor. He just wasnt thinking when he actually decided to continue the landing when he reached past the final threshold landing marker.

  • That plane was floating 3/4 of the way down the runway. You can't slow down fast enough doing that.

  • Ahhh welcome to St barths! It's paradise, but sometimes it blows ;-) (either in a bad or wrong way)

  • who ever putted that runway there should think "twice"

  • talk about being at the right place at the right time for that capture!

  • three main issues energy management - approach possibly too high and too fast, then aeronautical decision making, landing should be aborted if the remaining rwy distance is not suffiicient, then situational aware ness - pilo should have seen that landing in the touch down zone in the departure side of the runway is not allowed as it leads to this result - however at times even good pilots kind of have a bad day and one inappropriate decision can have severe consequencies (saftey first)

  • @CaptBesweri welll said

  • caption hindsight

  • @CaptBesweri

My observations... I 10000000% agree with what s said, right from the Getgo, his approach looked way to high and resulted in to fast as well, and it was a poor decision to follow through with the landing since he hadn't made the runway in time. Overall very poor decision making was the key factor here.

  • @CaptBesweri hell no look how short landing zone he has its way to short

  • he should 'go around'...

  • the island is so small it cant even fit a full length run way! lol

  • That water looks so inviting ;-)

  • What a bad pilot he has a lot space. That kind of pilots you dont want to control the plane, simply because they cant.

  • I don't fly twins yet but it looked like he was coming in to fast anyway and on top of that he landed 3/4 down the runway freaking go around already

  • i wonder if there were any notams, or notices to that effect prohibiting landing on that runway(direction)...seems kind of an impossible approach

  • Too high, too fast and possible tailwind blowing - should have aborted and gone around

  • flying drunk into st barts

  • where is that?

  • He should have went around

  • That kind of....blows..

    haha

  • @cozzzmo123 I was just thinking and laughing about tis same comment!!! Hahaha That Kind of.. Blows!!

  • GROUND EFFECT IN ACTION.

  • Why not overshoot the runway????

  • looks like an "air america"plane.

  • seemed like they were in a rush to start vacation.

  • Diablos bajo demasiado rapido, y al momento de reestablecer, planeo mas de la mitad de la pista... eso debio ser un touch and go... no un landing... quiza estaba borracho...

  • he had some speed after that hill lol

  • to all you pilots out there, this is when you make the decision to make a MISSED APPROACH!!!! esp after floating down more than half of the runway!!!!

  • that kinda blows?

  • @ Nnexxxx.....lol.....not the runways fault, the pilot clearly had to much airspeed. It appears that he was in a hurry to land and under estimated the headwind and at the same time came in to fast.

  • St Barts, Caribbean. This is an airport where pilots must have a special licence to land. One of the most difficult because of the little hill before the runway. By the way I agree with the most of you. Too fast

  • whats this airport??

    5/5

  • soulda aborted or maybe he had low fuel or else hes thick

  • wow, I'm not a person who has flown and wants to be a fag to everyone about their landing, but from the beginning, I would want to abort. Couldn't really tell how much speed he had by the time he had reached the beginning of the runway, but it looked like enough to abort with. Either way, good job throwing it to the side, it would have been really fun towing out a salt-watered twin engine aircraft.

  • That's one bad place to put a runway...

  • well pilot miss to land why dont he make and try one more landing? and land safe?

    mohamed

  • Pilot didnt take long to get to the beach, I wonder if he had his beer ready in his hand...

  • Any idea what airport was this?

  • St Barts I belive

  • well that kinda..blows

    lol

  • Two words. GO AROUND!

  • Does the US navy call that a "Bolter" if it's a missed landing?

  • HD!!!

  • "Well that kinda... blows!"

  • should have done a go around!!!!!!!

  • LOL

  • Go arounds are not silly. Multiple go arounds soon forgotten. One botched landing lasts forever.

  • That's a steep approach with that terrain, and a very short strip! I would have come on low and slow from the other end, unless the winds were strong.

  • Uhhh..TO/GA!!

  • he came in too fast !!

  • is this real?

  • I would have rather looked silly for going around than break a $240,000 airplane. If I am not mistaken looked like he came in too fast and floated mos of the runway.

  • Going Around isnt silly

  • Not when your life or at least $240,000 at risk!

  • almost every instructor, or every flight training video will tell you, and it's because of a mindset like yours, well, actually everybody's, that going around is silly. we always think that. but it's never the case... as you know, as we all know, it's a sign of good judgement. keep the blue side up!

  • I do go-arounds all the time and I know it could be life or death in any aircraft. Never would I let my feelings get between me and a safe flight.

  • lol you show me a flight training video that tells you go arounds are silly and I'll give you 1000 dollars. idiot.

  • no i read my comment, what i meant was people wrongly think it's silly but it's not. it's a sign of good judgement. that's what i meant. what's silly is NOT going around.

  • St. Barthelemy isn't it ?

  • That it should have been a missed approach

  • No one is going to judge you for going around, but people are sure as hell going to make fun of you for landing like that.

  • mayng when people who saw him realized he hadn't settled down on the first third of the runway they already knew that landing wasn't an option!
