  • where is the gouda cheese that belongs to Wurstsalat???

  • @Gladenator Every German we know has their own version of Wurstsalat. Many add cheese, but it isn't a requirement. Just for fun, go to Google[dot]de and search for "Wurstsalat Rezepte". There are hundreds of different recipes. Adding Gouda cheese is always a yummy option!!

  • tee hee... im a little german :)

  • You didn't add any vinegar. How much should be added

  • @FLKeyz76 ~ when you use "Salat Krönung" the vinegar is already incorporated into the mix, so don't add any extra vinegar. If you are making this dish from scratch (not using the packet mix) you can make a vinaigrette of 1 Tablespoon white wine vinegar to 3 Tablespoons sunflower oil. Toss and then add salt and pepper to taste.

  • @BoraSed That's a really good idea. Chef Uwe is pretty busy the rest of the year...but we'llsee what we can do for next year. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • I'm drooling!!!! Yumm. I miss Wurst und Fleischsalad

  • @texnbean72 - it's so easy to make.

  • I like your enthuiasm, Uwe ! Nice recipes, mmm, lecker! I would add German pickles to the Wurstsalat too but that's just me.

  • @hoffes33 - German pickles.....Yes!! They aren't so sour and they make so many salads taste so great.

  • Either recipe is great with a crusty roll for lunch or a light dinner.
