  • i know this vid is old as hell but i made this recipe to the t today. and its baking now so thanks

  • such horrible music

  • tilapia grow very fast.I owned tilapia fish farm before..

  • How does baked tilapia w/ onions, boiled white rice and mixed peas and corn sound?

  • @Chyne20 Like diet food. LOL

  • @fitcoach2007 Lol sorry I had a slow moment...

  • @mydollstuff any kind of white fish will work.

  • What have you been eating as far as fish goes since you mentioned you have not had Tilapia since a year ago?

  • @xiomyflor23 pretty much any other salt water fish.

  • Look up this article in google:

"Popular Fish, Tilapia, Contains Potentially Dangerous Fatty Acid Combination"

Tilapia has higher levels of potentially detrimental long-chain omega-6 fatty acids than 80-percent-lean hamburger, doughnuts and even pork bacon, the inflammatory potential of hamburger and pork bacon is lower than the average serving of farmed tilapia.

  • @brambau I totally agree with you! I made this video 2-years ago. I have not had Tilapia in over a year since I saw a report on 60 Minutes.

  • @fitcoach2007 There's just one problem with those headlines: the study had nothing to do with health outcomes associated with eating tilapia, or any other fish for that matter.

  • @brambau can u dumb that down a bit??

  • Look up this article in google:

"Popular Fish, Tilapia, Contains Potentially Dangerous Fatty Acid Combination"

It's fully explained in this Science Daily article

Wake Forest University School of Medicine, NC did the research

essentially farmed Tilapia (wild unavailable) unlike other fish on the market does not contain high levels of Omega 3 fatty acid which is believed to contribute to heart health.

Instead it contains Omega 6 fatty acid which makes it potentially worse for you than bacon

  • how many calories?

  • @r00hi1234 Sorry I dont count calories I use the portion control method to maintain or lose weight. You can check out my video search for "Portion Control" in my channel.

  • Hi. I enjoyed the video and recipe. Looks great!

  • Can you leave out the bread crumbs? This looks tasty.

  • @electricwired you could but it would not taste the same. try it and let me know.

  • I worked at a tilapia fish farm. In these long concrete "ponds" you first raise striped bass, after you harvest the stripers which by the way have left tons of fish shit in the water, you put tilapia in that same shit infested water, and guess what the tilapia eat? lol.......if people only knew these kinda things they wouldnt eat anything.

  • @SuperOlds88 lol thats generally something you'd keep to your self on a tilapia cooking vid. ;)

  • @rbneville guess that's why most people dont know about it, because they keep it to themselves.

  • @SuperOlds88 Do you know what honey is? It's bee shit!

  • What kind of breadcrumbs are you using,is it whole wheat or white?Thank you,Jaun!

  • @KMYA4ME Whole wheat. try also using Panko whole wheat bread crumbs.

  • @fitcoach2007 Thanks so much! :)

  • i will try this tonight.. thanks

  • @karenandmatteo let me know what you think.

  • @mandie3333 great to hear! :)

  • This looks really good. I love baked tilapia. I was wondering if the dish would be ok if I left out the breadcrumb mixture?

  • @kneenee71 You can try it, just make sure to add the seasonings to the fish directly. Let me know how it works out.

  • @fitcoach2007 Ok, I'll do that. I like breadcrumbs just cutting starchy carbs out of my diet. Thanks alot.

  • Thanks for the video!!!! I made this dish last nt for dinner & the family LOVED IT. I've been telling all my friends about it. I have always thought of Tilapia as a dry fish lacking much flavor, but this recipe added much flavor to the fish...nxt time I'll try adding wine to the recipe as suggested below....Thanks Again!

  • I am glad to hear you and your family loved it. Thanks, Juan
