N64 Perfect Dark: Combat Simulator hacked settings

Can you help me? I can't get the setup editor to work, well at all really for me. I kinda want to make a level with all the enemies having Grimshaw heads (for a video I want to make), and a text hack of the first level, but it doesn't save anything really. :(

@jokemasterslifer well, i dont know much about editing text, but i usually press F5 to quick convert and then F7 to save to the game. check your preferences and make sure that the quick convert and default rom to save to is set correctly

I keep getting "Error: File Error" and then "Error: Failed ROM Conversion".
