What always amazes me is how celebrity influences women. A hot woman will always attract the attention and eye of men. If this guy was no a celebity and just walking down the mall 99% of the women would just ignore him totally.
I think it works both ways too. Before celebrities became famous they were happy to settle with a normal girl. Once they become celebrities the normal girl is replaced with a model, or someone in the business etc. and then the celebrities moan about how hard it is to meet a girl who isn't interested in them for their fame! Hope Gerry settles for a normal girl.
oh yeah, Hollywood is famours for older guys and younger girls. Take James Woods. He was 59 and his live-in gal was a very hot 19 yer old girlfriend. She was just 17 when she was waiting for him in the green room on Leno, and he mentioned her as "this is the most powerful thing on earth, right here". Turns out she is the duaghter of a friend (or ex-friend!) if his. Not sure if they are still together.

I share the concern of others. If you were in attendance at this event...ask yourself..."What did Gerry say to himself when he closed that car door and finally drove away?" I am thinking it had little to do with loving his fans. That is a shame, because I know he does!!!

This video was very sad to see. This won't fare well for future fan encounters if people don't give him the space he needs. When he says "I have to be somewhere" please people let him go. He is so kind and charming and loves his fans so please don't ruin it for HIM and for the rest of us who love an respect him. This isn't the first time that fans have shown bad behaviour please let this be the last. Don't just shout I love you...SHOW HIM by respecting him.

That's why alot of them are afraid to stop. :( I was there for Queen Latifah mostly, and she wouldnt stop (except to sign for that one paparazzi guy). many of the celebs don't stop, so it was a rare treat that someone (Gerard) did!

DITTO!!! I mean, I LOVE Gerard Butler as much as the next girl/tart - but this was inconsiderate. He's one guy, with his own life and obligations (plus, he's still really busy promoting 300) - if he said he needed to be somewhere, they should have let him go.

I knew he hadnt left yet, but I think a few people there thought he did. The crowd had thinned out a bit, and then he showed up.
