My first playthrough was conjurer, I never bothered with the necromancy line though... just used atronachs really. Mixed it with alteration for defense and some restoration. Once I got paralyze, nothing but dragons could touch me really... raise summons, paralye target, watch and laugh.

I never hired a companion. I'm just a conj. fighter! I've played on master difficulty 2 hours through game. And it's been smooth sailing. I revive zombies in heat of battle and summon. The first dungeon in Bleak Falls was easy! My wife uses Imperial and she died alot.

im a mix between assasin and ilusion mage... skills are, sneak,ilusion, archery and some point on one handed for dagger ...its ridiculous i can sneak attack 1 hit kill enemies or just cause confusion with ilusion spells letting them fight each other while i cast my invisibility xD

I had a full on brute level 32 but got bored because it was to easy i then started an assasin using the nightinggale armor at level 33 but with my sneeak up and one handed up i found the game easy again so i took a challenge and im now a level 9 necromancer/conjurer pure and i find it more fun

@SpazzyMcGee1337 I understand you, but i found that "This weapon (bound sword) has a base damage of 9 and a base damage of 14 after the Mystic Binding perk is applied." (The Elders Scroll Wiki - Bound Sword (Skyrim)), and the daedric sword base damage is 15.

I'm going for the sneak bound bow/dagger (got a mod for the bound dagger)

wearing only cloth armor (alteration is great for anyone whos focusing no armor)

this spec, without using summons, is much more immersive than just take some daedric weapons and boost it with crafts skill

The whole time I've had the game, I've made only straight up melee warriors built for bashing in heads. But earlier today I made a new Dark Elf account because I wanted to experiment as a mage, and as soon as I bought up all of the conjuration spells at my disposal I was HOOKED. 5 hours in and I'm already getting a pretty legit conjurer with 48 conjuration.

I 100 conjuration all perks and have got 400 magika (only thing I level up) and dual cast 2 dremora lords and then dual cast bow and that unstoppable + the follower you get from destroying skull of corruption

There's another two conjuration spell I think are worth mentioning, both are only found on the completion of a specific quest. Firstly, summon Arniel's Shade from the end of the Arniel's endeavor series of quests, which summons Arniel back for what seems to be a very long if not infinite time. He can even cast his spells normally. The other, for entertainment value, is Conjure Flaming Familiar, which summons a fiery dog which runs towards your enemies and explodes. Nuff said.

Do you find putting points in Block worth it, since you are using a shield? Also, do you have any armor boosting perks or abilities or do you stay alive easily even with no armor?

@clf2910 no its probably not worth it because im a magick user and i use heal in left hand more than i use shield. and yeh alteration magic heavily boosts your armor even if you are wearing no armor or light armor

where do I get spells, the only conjuration spell that I was able to obtain was buying a zombie summon spellbook from a merchant but I've yet to come across a sort of vendor/trainer specifically for conjuration. I'm lv 7, having fun with my summoned wolf spectre but I'd like to have some more summons :/ I have 33 pts in conjuration so far

my build is like this i'm a warrior/destru mage/paladin 100 resto 100 destru ~75 heavy armor ~75 2Handed i have 100 enchanting/100 speechcraft/100 smithing so i have full daedric armor + weapons with corresponding improvements (smithing) on top of that i have fortify 2 h and fortify destru/resto so the mana c ost for spells destru/resto is 0% so basically i have ~ 600-700 HP 200 stamina 100 magicka but i can spam spells like no tomorrow... that and having the best defense in game.

Thanks for showing off conjuration. It's a great set of spells. But giants aren't really very tough if you keep your distance. I've killed them below level 20 with the bound bow and no summons at all, just by keeping moving and kiting them, WoW hunter style. Have fun!

Conjure Flaming Familiar has to be the most awesome thing to do, the flaming dogs are suicide bombers into the enemy so you can spam it

Spend some perks on Mage armor and magic resistance perks from alteration. It really does help a spell caster. Also with some help from enchanting you can get better benefits than the arch Mage robes.

I do the same tactic too, but I use my shouts to call up a storm to help kill my foe. Me + Dedra lord + Staff of Ice + staff of fireballs vs. elder dragon = visual orgasim and crash :/

I've got two builds right now. One is somewhat like yours, except uses destruction instead of weapons. Im probably going to invest one handed a bit too, but survival reasons (I let my summons tank, and then I take cheapshots. Im also using lydia, until her inevitable death.) The 2nd build is a dual wielding warrior with restoration.

you should enchant some heavy armor with things that reduce magicka costs, i have a 81 conjurer with no magicka cost on any of my conjuration spells, and a lot less on destruction :P
