It's been so long I don't recall but in all cases so far I use studio (CD / not live) versions of songs. And I tune down until I find what I think is correct. I've gone as far down as 425hz before (may have been Rosie don't remember).
I don't recall which this song was but might be 435.
Your amp vol. is more quiet than the song's so it seems fake even though it could very well be real. I've also seen many different chords used for this song, but yours are the ones I've seen Ang. use in all of their other songs.
It's more quiet than I usually do because of the song itself ad how I did this one. This was my 1st time creating 2 specific dual-cabinet tone banks for a single song. The 1st is intentionally subdued because of the way the song starts and sounds. I wanted to mix with them not blast over them. I guess it was too low? When you see my ape-face reach over, that is me hitting the B switch on my PX3Live modeller which is the loud and grind tone.
Actually I just listened to this in my hotel on laptop speakers instead of headphones and I'm not low at all after I kick on the heavy tone (you see me reach down).
This is probably one of the closest matching cabinet tones to theirs I've ever done in any song, right up there with my Fly On The Wall / Send For The Man / Rosie and WAOY so maybe you don't think you're hearing me when you definitely are?
Anyway, check more vids I've done. My integrity is unquestioned. Its real.
You won't regret it they're excellent, well built, feel good and sound great. This is a 61' reissue I bought from the high-wall at Guitar Center awhile back. Was about $2K but you can get them much cheaper used I'm sure.
Hey long time dude. Thanks. Well actually it's a response to SoloDallas I wanted to see what he thought about the difference. He actually posted says he loves it. It seemed to me noone had tried matching the frequency of the studio version but just tried to find the right chords so I post my version toned down to 416hz so can use the standard AC/DC chords. Not sure if that's what they did but it sure sounds like it to me.
I loved your version of it. I see things I like in you. I see you moving hectically (is this even a suitable adverb?). I can see you restless there. All concentrated in strumming right when needed. Charged. Ready to release it all. This, all this and not less, is AC/DC. Your response is gladly posted and accepted. Good luck, SD
I'm honored by your visit SD thanks for the good words! I've listened to them so many years I really do 'feel' their rhythm in my bones. I'm actually very relaxed in the strumming. But it is very deliberate so it blends in style. I'm finding that part very easy after listening to them for so long. That's my goal. To sound 'with' them proper. The short stroke during Bons singing is explicitly subtle so the chord doesn't stomp all over his voice. Some day I'll be good enough to finally explode :)
Thanks man. For a minute I thought youtube was going to leave it alone and AS-IS after I uploaded because I pre-converted to the supported (used to be) stereo parameters and it was playing from youtube EXACTLY as I uploaded it. But once again I see it eventually chewed it up and now spits out youtubes version of mono and stereo. God what a shame the original really sounds sharp. Oh well!
For info I am tuned down to 416hz for this. I don't know if that's what they did but it sure sounded like it to me and the results sound absolutely on the money to my ear, and it's totally using their most common chords so I think I'm right. Doesn't mean I am, but seems like it.
G SHARP IN STANDARD..TUNED DOWN 1/2 STEP?
