  • @shanethefilmmaker I know this will sound crazy, but I kinda liked Manos. Sure it's garbage, but Torgo brings a lot to the film.

  • @Dim4323

Uwe boll's movies are legitamite garbage

Ed wood's movies on the other hand, have something special to them

I prefer plan 9 over alone in the dark any day

  • Too bad Depp is a mainstream hollywood guy this time.. I used to love him, in movies like these.

  • The "stupid minds" bit wasn't done right at all...

  • the worst director of all time, but he had much endurance.

i liked bela lugosi. must watch Dracula now...

  • am i the only one who loves when ed wood says "action" with such enthusiasm ?

  • Ed Wood was just one of those rare characters that never learned from failure. His scenes were never done in more than one take, his scripts never made it past a rough draft, and his direction was just awful. He's someone who aspired to be one of the greats. He fought so hard to get funding for his movies, he just never put as much effort into actually making them as good as he boasted to everyone.

  • UME Bowl is the new Ed wood

  • Johnny Depp can pretty much act anything.. Just look at his movie list, the guy is a born actor

  • one of those rare movies that are flawless, like a diamond.

  • Landau's "I have no home" depiction of Lugosi was right on.

    Truly great movie!

  • Plan 9 From Outer Space may be a terrible movie, but it sure is entertaining! I'll never forget being forced to suffer through "Rashomon" three times for a film class--and the sonofabitch professor gave me a "D" on the paper for my trouble. Give 'em hell, Ed Wood---and thanks a million for the movies!

  • "Karloff... sidekick?"

  • "Future events as these, will affect you, in the future!"

  • what is the accent of johnny depp when he says "acction"??? please tell me

  • This movie is an insult to Bela.

  • The only bad part of this movie is that I don't think they guy who was recreating the "your stupid minds!" scene was energetic enough

  • poor poor poor ed wood aways follow your dreams they said. now there's a good proof that its bullshit

  • Probably the best montage ever made...

  • I love this movie so much

  • "Where's the cockpit set?"

    "You're standing in it!"

  • I just watched "Plan 9" again a couple of days ago. It beats the hell out of anything done by half of those hacks in Hollywood these days, and they've got huge budgets to work with. If you don't believe me just check out Wal-Mart's $5 bin sometime.

  • hahaha

    excellent :D

  • love it

  • yea ,ever see the real airplane movie, that one was bad acting." he's got a BOMB!"

  • "Visions are worth fighting for. Why spend your life making someone else's dreams?"

  • Plan 9 is the worst movie ever made, But this movie makes it look worth watching.

  • You're dumb Shanethe

every year half of Hollywood production is just as bad as Plan9, and some of it worse

  • that's where you are wrong, true there are movies just as bad as plan 9, but none have ever taken the title of worse movie from it nor havfe critcs say "-insertbadmoviehere- movie is worse than plan 9"

  • @Shanethefilmmaker I think there are movies that are even worse than Plan 9, such as "Manos The Hands of Fate" and "Monster A-Go-Go" , but you're right--none has officially taken the "worst movie" title from Plan 9. My take on it is that Plan 9 is at least fun to watch; Manos and Monster A Go Go don't even have that going for them!

  • @galoon exactly just because its the worse movie didn't mean it wasn't fun to watch, unlike a go go or manos, P9 at least made an effort to be entertaining.

  • George Steele as Tor Johnson was PERFECT casting in this movie.

  • Ed wood is a genie

  • Ed Wood may have made fuck awful movies but he DID have guts and vision. And it took real balls to finance movies independently in the 1950s when Hollywood was completely controlled by a few big studios like MGM, Fox, Warner Brothers etc. He was an 'Indie' movie-maker a generation before his time

  • Yeah, at least he put great heart into his movies. Had he had more money at his disposal he might have done a lot better.

  • i mean...this movie is TOO funny to make fun of!

  • this movie is to funny to make fun of!

  • grandissimo! i'd like to see all ed wood's movies

  • This is a great movie. There is so much love from Burton to Wood and Lugosi inside.

It's a love declaration to cinema.

  • Yes, my favorite movie of Tim BURTON, and a great and disserved hommage to Ed WOOD.

  • This was a good movie, I hope they make a sequel. Ed Wood 2: More Wood

  • I don't think they will do something like that. :D

However, it would be interesting if they made a movie about the "relationship" between Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff!

  • I agree completely.

  • Great film. Best one made by Burton!
