I like the MAME version of this better. It allows you to have a majority of control when it comes to the actions of the game. I even cleared it with my MAME emulator.
I remember the good old days..a freaking dollar to play this, but it was always worth it. Got up to Vader once..then died cuz I missed a chance to attack. Oh well...
I ALWAYS hated the AT-ST's. How they walked freaked me out...
Man... i used to watch my older brother play this ALL the time at my local movie theater... we would make trips just to play. He would play the whole game, and since I was the little brother, I was delegated to the "special" button (the one for the reinforcements etc)... ahh man those were good times. I wish I could find a cabinet of this somewhere in New Jersey so we could play it like we used to 10 years ago =]
I remember this game. I used to go to this church that had a bowling alley, an indoor gymnastics area, a 40 foot tall slide, a concession stand , and a lot more.
Never heard of this game but once I saw when it was made, I was like Fuuccccck there's no way there's a working rom for this on the Net and I was right. What a pity
@eejey Yeah, it works with later versions of MAME. MAMEPP was the best version to use because it has all the upgrades needed for running SWTA but it lacks the semi-graphic interface of the later versions so it uses less memory.
Buy a Gamecube, then buy a copy of Rebel Strike. That should tide you over. You get to play in scenes from the movies like battle on Hoth and Endor. Unlike SWTA, it isn't "on rails" so you have full control of the speederbike.
This ran on Sega model 3 board. it will only emulate well enough on supermodel emulator which is almost impossible to find. This was released arcade only. Not one console release.

Nintendo wiis poor graphics could not handle this game. Port it to xbox 360 or Ps3
md1980s 1 year ago
@md1980s
It's a 166 MHz processor, 9 MBs of memory, and 2 million polygons a second or less.
Even for a GC game it's blocky looking, the GC and Wii both slaughter that, easy.

Taking out all the scouts in the beginning is a bonus, plus you have to do it quick because the can shoot you with their blaster pistols.

He's taken a lot of punishment in that level.
mjm814 2 years ago
Wow, I didn't know you could call in an Ewok reinforcement for this stage.
Seraphil1 2 years ago
I don't think you actually play as Luke at this part, I think you play as a rebel trooper or something because of the gear and rifle.
FalconKPD 2 years ago
@FalconKPD Why couldn't they let you play as Han Solo in this part.
thehalowarthog 1 year ago
@thehalowarthog I dunno. So you could get killed off more easily, or maybe they just didn't want to make another character model.

This game, along with Lost World Jurassic Park arcade, should be released on Wii!!

Also didn't do half bad on the endor space although had to resort to a continue. Then I screwed up on the final part and the game ended. AHHHHHH!
