  • Did you have the guitar in drop C#? For some reason i can't seem to find a way to put my Schecter Floyd Rose down to drop c or the strings just sound like its bangin on the fret board where it wont make the sounds come out. And it does have a tunning lock and and a whammy bar like yours.

  • @guitarxguy I believe this was in drop D. I'm using .12 gauge strings in this vid and have 4 springs in the back with the screws almost as tight as they will go to get the bridge to set level.

  • I'm getting me one of these

  • Why is the Top comment about duncans? The Hellraiser comes with EMGs

  • good sound friend!!

  • Wow dude you fail at sweeping

  • @MrPublic7enemy Some people should have been swallowed instead of born.

  • @m3at haha

  • @m3at um, can i give you a tip dude, im not trying to be rude or arogant, but try slowing down your sweeps a bit, and practice palm muting more, thats why you sounds a bit off when you sweep, because you have the speed, but you lack a bit of accuracy and technique. Again please dont take this negatively im just trying to help you improve your guitar playing, feel free to PM me if you need any help

  • @alvarg No offense taken! This video is 4 years old. I'm a little better now. Thanks for the tips!

  • @m3at Why do you care what other people think anyway?

  • @MrPublic7enemy woah, yea, i just watched the last 20 seconds and yea he is kinda bad at sweeping, probably cos hes like playing faster then his confort zone, which doesn't make u look like a good guitarist. In fact trying to play above your skill level actually makes you seem like your a crap guitarist because you make alot of mistakes

and this guitar is awesome i have 1, without the floyde rose, because i hate tremolos really good for sweaps... if you can do them like me xD

  • @alvarg yeah I know. apperently because stated my opinion i shouldnt have been born. a little bit harsh but...

  • Mesa Boogies are really nice amps, pleaaaaaase change your settings.

  • @njones1091 Settings were at the time:

    Bass: Noon

    Mid : Noon

    Treble: Noon

    Presence: Noon

    Gain: Noon

    So kindly STFU.

  • @m3at Thats my point lol... why leave the settings standard man? Change it up with every guitar. not just noon noon noon noon.

  • @njones1091 my point is that the settings are pretty standard and you're hearing tone through a video camera mic, NOT in the room. But hey, you're welcome to judge the tone based off of the cheap video cam mic.

  • @m3at Lemme clarify I guess. The last 3 strings sound good with those settings, maybe could sound better. But even with the camera mic you can hear the mushy sound from the rest of the strings. This is one of my favorite guitars and one of my favorite amps no trolling going on just saying it has so much potential.

  • @njones1091 strings are .12 gauge strings. No scooped mids on this amp. I guarantee it's the camera mic.

  • Dude, I don't care what anybody says about your playing. Short vid, but I think you play good! Maybe its just a crappy recording. Your not in a studio, rite? Anyway, I'm a pretty sloppy player, I go for feel, not to be technically correct all the time. Sometimes what comes out of my fingers just don't sound good, so screw that, try something else! JUST PLAY!!!

  • Hey Im looking at getting this as my next guitar, Im prob be going to play it thru a stiletto ace 2x12 combo. I play mostly play AOR or Melodic Rock

  • awesome,i am thinking of getting a black or black cherry well idk because white is cool too it's an awesome guitar

  • I think it probably sounds good but the camera is pointed right at the guitar so it's like the sound playing an acoustic through a Mesa lol.

  • honestly.... sounds fuking annoying.

  • Well it all depends on preference. I prefer a high treble sound when playing

  • your great and all and i love your tone but try sitting a little back so we dont get the sound of your pick hitting the strings :)

  • dude i don't really know who would say youur guitar playing sucks, you rock. theres always someone best but you are really good playing the guitar (:

    and that combination rulles

  • Good man! a wise decision :)

  • TURN DOWN THE TREBLE - poor amp... poor poor amp

  • Turn it down a LITTLE maybe.... But, to me, treble sounds amazing.

  • Pretty good playing mate!beautiful guitar too.

  • white

  • Does the floyd rose ever get in the way? it it different to the non fr edition? comfort wize

  • onestly i have a les paul and an ibanez rg with a floyd an i fin the floyd is more comfortable cause its almost flat to the body and especialy when your in palm mute hand position

  • Its A little more comfortable. I have the FR version and for what your paying for the non trem one you might as well go all out and get the FR. Its a pain at times but once you have it dialed in it works excellent.

  • not at all

  • What Colour c1 hellraiser looks nicest, cherry like this one, or just white ?

  • Cherry

  • hm thats tough, im considering buying one, but i really like the cherry

  • Same, the white looks sick aswell, ive never played on a guitar with floyd rose but then again ive never played on a c1. im like in a real awkward position :\

  • I'M IN LOVE

  • how much is this guitar? it looks AWESOME!

  • its about $900

  • actually i think its $700, i got one, and they are AMAZING, and i think no matter what style you play this is a good guitar, but thats just my opinion

  • ya ive played it and it sounds great in any style... but at guitar center it was 900

  • it depends if you want a floyd rose or not with it its $899 and without it its $750

  • play some tool with that shit man i want to hear how it sounds

  • whatr r the pros and cons bout the Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR and the Schecter Hellraiser C-1

  • pros everything

cons - EMG not Duncans but thats just me

  • ya ok but whats like the diffrence between the two and what pros and cons against each other

  • are you talking about the regular hellraiser c-1 or the c-1+? if just the regular hellraiser c-1 then that and the fr version are the exact same guitar except one has a floyd and the other doesnt but get the fr cause you will really regret not having a floyd later on unless you already have a guitar with a floyd in that case just decide whether u want the floyd or not

  • i agree

  • The FR has a bit more of a stable tuning due to the flyod rose. the only hard part is changing strings on the beast. the C-1 is not exactly as much of a fire breather but can get some great tone out of both. I have a Gryphon with a string through bridge and it's an excellent guitar. If you want to put up with the locking bridge then go for it. Also if you do, buy some string cleaner so they last longer and you won't have to change strings as much.

  • ok thx a bundle how much of a price diffrence is it for the fr?

  • schecters + Mesaboogies = SEX

  • slow down when you practice your sweeps so they will sound alot cleaner when you get faster and faster and faster and so forth

  • Looks just like an ESP Horizon!

  • I want this guitar.

  • get it get it get it get it get it

i just ordered it today. gaurenteed youll love it. i find it as sick to play as my gibson sg if not better

  • Hey, where did you order it from?

  • guitar center. i went to the store and ordered it to the store. i wouldnt trust UPS with such an instrument

  • file eise o poio atsiybalos kitharistas pou eho dei!!!tin eheis xeskisi tin kithara!!!

  • i love this guitar est guitar i ever owned

  • If you get the Hellraiser, you can put different pickups in it (like Duncan Distortion, maybe) and have the 9v battery case to power ICE or active EQ or whatever you decide to put in there later

  • That's actually a really good idea. Too bad I don't own this guitar any longer.

  • the duncan distortions are pretty shitty. =/

  • the only difrence between hellreaiser ant the blackjack is the pick ups?

i love emgs but i also like clean solos so i dont no wich one to buy

  • if you want good cleans with EMG's swap the 89 for a 60 and you're set

  • 89 have that pull thing that make the pick up sound like a single coil so it seems better than a 60 i think but i never have tried one...

  • Pretty much. And the way they are built. Hellraiser has EMGs and Blackjack ATX has Duncan Blackouts..

  • i have same exact guitar but when i tune down to drop c the strings touch the bottom of the neck near the pick ups. does that happen to u?

  • Love the guitar. Does the FR give you tuning hell if you go from standard E all the way down to drop C and back?

  • The chords sound nice but it gets a bit shrill on the lead notes imo. Thats just my taste though, I'd use the neck p/u or maybe wind the tone off a touch. Nice setup anyways. :)

  • admittedly, when I had this amp I had it dialed in horribly. However, it did sound better in the room than this video.

  • Yea no doubt it would have, digicam mics don't have the widest range.

Credit for not having the EQ ridiculously scooped out, though.

  • wow. 12's on a Floyd Rose :O I guess everything is possible :P

  • I just got this one, its super versatile i love it

  • how?!

  • how come? Im actually curious as to why you dont like it?

  • Wow... you were able to put 12's on a FR?

  • i put 13's on mine

  • Should I get this or the ESP LTD MH-1000? I play a lot of older music like Megadeth Led Zeppelin and Judas Priest. And seriously, why does everybody use tabs these days? What happened to the treble cleft? Its much better.

  • cuz its easier

  • because the majority of notes played on a guitar are not even in treble clef... middle C is located on the first fret of the b string for crying out loud haha. in modern music, tablature is more universally accepted for guitar.

  • lol

  • screw pedals...

  • Comment removed

  • the ltd mh 401 is more for metal ect. it's the same thing with the 1000 deluxe but the difference between the 401 qm and 1000 is that the 1000 gives more of a metal tone, now the c1 fr hellraiser is got the wide tone variety so you can play from blues to speed metal and you have all the control you want

  • You guys have to Help me, I am getting a new guitar and I cant decide between this and one of the ibanez s prestige guitars. I think the schecter has more for the money but then theres the s series which is possible the most comfortable and easiest guitar that I've ever played. So what do you think??????

  • go for the prestige if you care about playability

    or

go for the schector if you care about looks and sound

  • i have played schecters and ibanezes and thats a tough choice, i like ibanez because they have fast necks and the s series has the sweet thin body but schecters just rock haha especially with the emg81tw which is switchable between humbucker and single coil, and schecter depending on which model you get will have an original floyd rose and set thru neck.. but its all in what you feel more comfortable with and what sounds the way you want it to

  • nice Axe im gettin the C7 though its more metal

  • How is this guitar (without the Floyd) compared to the ESP EC1000 for Metalcore ?

  • This one would be a little bit over 1000 times better :)

  • I would pick the EC1000 simply because I tried both and I fell in love with the LTD. The shape, the feel, the sound. The Hellraiser is pretty heavy weight talking. If you wanna compare something fair, compare the Blackjack ATX from schecter VS the EC1000. Still there I prefer the LTD, but I love the ATX over the hellraiser. You get me...

  • I bought the Blackjack ATX

  • That's awesome man congrats, how do you love it?

  • Thanks dude. I freaking love it. It is an amazing guitar. Check out my channel for its videos. One is a 30 Second solo from Lamb of God's Set to Fail \,,/

  • i'm thinking about getting this guitar. i played it at guitar center today and absolutely LOVED IT! The downside is the price. Considering I'm not that experienced yet, i'm not sure if spending that much money would be good. But i REALLY loved this guitar and believe every penny would be worth it. Considering it would take me at LEAST a year to save up, it gives me time to get better. Anyway, would you recommend this guitar? Over any other models?

  • Dude, what size strings do you use, those are friggin' huge!

  • is it the pickups or the amp that is sucking? No offense but its just that you can hear the picking so well over the playing

  • you wouldn't hear the picking if the amp were loud. Watch my other videos and you'll see what I mean.

  • That sounded so trashy...

  • anyone have this guitar or a tempest that they wanna sell me wb

  • nice guitar man congrats !! , but you got to clean up your playing especially those sweeps

  • wow i was gonna get that head, but if its gonna sound that shitty than nevermind

  • remember that it could be the guitar/is playing or the recording.....

  • dont get him pissed he will raise hell!!

  • Is it possible to buy a C-1 without a floyd rose?

Because I'm not really up the the idea of having to take care of one.

  • yes, it is

  • There's nothing hard about taking care of a Floyd Rose, just a couple of things to learn about. Get one, you'll LOVE IT!!

  • The riff sounds kind of like Disciples of the Watch by Testament. Cool tone.

  • how do those emgs pick up harmonics?

  • I'm not very familiar with floyds, and i am planning to get one. The only problem is i would put .10 gauge on and it comes stock .09 so.....would i have to add another tension spring or not? Thanks whoever answers!

  • I have an schecter c-1 with floy rose, and I am using the .10 gauge.

I never changed the tension springs, but I pretty much recomend you add another one, I did it, and it stays in tune a lote more than only having the ones from the factory.

I have to add, this is an awesome guitar, I compared it with the hellraiser, and is pretty the same, but the only difference are the look, and the hellraiser is a more agresive for the emg humbuckers, but I like the sound of the duncan designed ones.

  • thank you very much!! I played one of these at guitar center and now am i not only PLANNING to buy one but i am GOING to buy one!!! All-around beautiful guitar!

  • nothing

  • The Jackson DKMG is a great guitar, I own one myself. their a great guitar.

  • I don't like the uber thin Ibanez necks, which is why I love this guitar. More of a Les Paul shaped neck, but it's a bit thinner. And the EMGs absolutely scream. Loving this guitar.

  • i really want the tab for the second riff you play. right after it cuts to another clip thing. i have the same guitar and its worth every penny

  • ok i played this exact same guitar at guitar center and it sounded like shit and it felt like crap but every review i look at...this guitar sounds godly...i was thinkin about gettin it too but idk

  • It's a decent guitar. Plays well and sounds pretty damn good. I've definitely played better, my Ibanez RG for example plays like a dream.

  • me too man. was almost positive i wanted this guitar. then went to guitar center and played it and was completely disappointed. on paper i should adore this guitar

  • yea i mean...maybe the hellraiser is different? i REALLY hope the C-1 classic has a better feel and sound because im getting a really good deal on one

  • im going for a real metal guitar myself so im not sure the classic is good for me. ive looked at sooo many guitars though. i must find the right one soon...

  • this guitar is good for metal and distorted sounds, and the floyd just is perfect, but the problem is it needs to be adjusted a bit and sounds like crap in clean channels...

  • get a jackson dkmg

or if ur too poor for that, get a dxmg, then save for an emg 81 to put in the bridge

i got a dkmg over this guitar

  • the only problem i have with the dkm series is that they have bolt on necks

  • its not bulky though, its got a nice cutaway that lets u get up the fretboard. plus since its a bolt on its cheap to repair if it ever gets damaged, and can be adjusted every month or so to keep it nice and straight. also the transparent black looks outstanding, i suggest it if u want a guitar geared towards your heavier music but still like cleans

  • thats what all the gay kids do

  • come on m3at get your chops together

  • dammit! I've been working on it. Plus this was taken in 12/07. I think I've improved a bit since then.

  • Fucking sweet dude, capture that shit and show me what you got!

  • are the strings easy 2 bend cause ythats what i like?

  • depends on the strings you put on it

  • haha sweet answer.

    and very true

  • nice playing i just bought a hellraiser check out my video response

  • keep practicing

  • hey i'm thinking of getting that guitar how much should i spend? thanx

  • i just bought this guitar for £350 new

but it usually sells for about £449 so i wouldn't spend more than that

i only got that price cos it was the last schecter in the shop and they wanted rid of it

  • get the schecter because with ibanez until u get to the more expensive models ur just paying for a name. i bought an ibanez s470 and it lasted about 3 weeks b4 it went back

with schecter u aren't paying for the name so ur getting a better guitar for ur money

  • Hell raisers rock my socks.

  • That guitar sounds like a beast.

  • KEVIN!!!

  • how's the neck? thin fast?

  • i just played one today, and the neck is a little wider than average, but schecter and their magical powers made it seem thin and fast. Very nice to play.

  • it's thick fast :D lol imo it's in between a les paul and a wizard 3...

  • i just bought 1 2day and when u first look at it an play it ur like shit this is one thick necked muthafucker. but as soon as u get used to it,it's actually real easy 2 play

  • hey man, nice video. I got the same guitar (minus the floyd) and a Mesa (DC, which is pretty similar to a Mark, just with a bit more low end and gain). How are the 1960 cabs with it? I'm in the market for a good 4x12 and 1960's are priced pretty well. Does it sound really good with your Mark for live/jamming/studio use?

  • thas my dream guitar

  • hows the action on these guitars?

  • Awesome guitar. I'm getting one for xmas :D

  • dang alot of views for just having a mesaboogie. my test video of the SAME THING minus what amp i use and i get 1/400th the view.wow lol

  • well, this has been on here for a year now so don't feel too bad. Your playing kicks total ass in your video btw! You're good!

  • Give me a mesa boogie :/ I have a schecter Damien-6 and i love it =)

  • I've been playing Mesa Boogie for around 10-12 years now. They are great amps for sure! You can pick up a dual rec for pretty cheap these days.

  • i got one of these a few months ago and i have to say im not as impressed with it as every one is i dont like the neck its to big i prefer more of a psr type neck and really the pickups suck ya they sound good but they sound so lifeless and generic not only that but it can with multiple dead notes and i had to adjust the neck file down the frets and adjust the bridge where as my hamer slammer that i boutgh for 300 plays better and didnt need to do anything to it after i bought it

  • I sold my hellraiser and my main guitar is now an Ibanez RG prestige. The Ibby kills! Neck is amazing on the ibby!

  • yea it does have cooler inlays but i prefer more simple things. so these inlays are perfect for me!

  • I really want a schecter devil

  • I got the hellrasier deluxe, and a fender d-dec junier

  • I just got a hellraiser dlx. Mine is a crimson burst finish but i cant find it ANYWHERE online. just found it at guitar center

  • me too

  • love da inlays

  • shecter c-1 classic has better inlays

  • I've got the Hellraiser FR and would LOVE to have the "Vine of Life" (C1 Classic) inlays in it. The "Gothic Cross" (Hellraiser) ones aren't bad though.

  • duh, those are the best inlays i have ever seen. but i would rather have a c-1 hellraiser fr.

  • This guitar is the hellraiser FR.

  • Nice dude. i got a Mesa Boogie mark 3 and 4. back from the 70-80s man.

  • why do you think so?

  • can anyone say wich guitar is better sechter c-1 blackjack or c-1 hellriser

  • hellraiser son

  • hellraiser... i have a c-1 and hellraiser... hellraiser wins hands down, although c-1 has cooler inlays, hellraiser has better sounds and effects.

  • Depends on which C1. The C1 Classic has one of the coolest inlays I've ever seen and would LOVE to have them on my Hellraiser. Other then that, the C1s inlays aren't too special.

  • what was that rythem thing you were playing

  • a riff from one of my bands songs.

  • how much does 1 of those messa boogie heads cost?
