OH My......I haven't seen this film, however, i did get to sing with RL, Junior, Kenny Brown, and Danny Lancaster several times in Mississippi............Cedric Burnside too.
What lessons i learned from them ! I am so grateful to all of them !
I just watched this end for the first time in years, loved all the music in the Badge, I worked on the film and it was a tough shoot, Billy Bob did not want his character to get a hug from the bald gay lover of Thomas Hayden Church character and went to producers to get it cut out, but they sided with an affirmation of acceptance. True.
I love this snippet of this movie. I was folding clothes and it came on...I was memorized!!! Heavenly movie, with a message...and of all things....OHG...Asie Payton at the end of it singing "I LOVE YOU." What's NOT to love??? Thank you for posting this snippet. Love it. I've got to buy that movie!
Hi. That second song is by David Garza and it is Soul Custody. If you search amazon for "Soul Custody (LP Version)" I think you can find an mp3 version to buy. "Never been yours before this. Before now, never been true before this. Before now, you got soul custody, soul custody of me, soul custody, soul custody of me. Dear dreamer, where you been before this, before now was there something, something, that I missed before this. "
@Elephantmen1 - Yes, there are several Fat Possum artists featured in this movie: Asie Payton, Junior Kimbrough, R.L. Burnside, T-Model Ford. I believe that is one of the reasons the sound track is so good.
