This is interesting, the older film cameras used a cloth shutter, but the M9 use a focal plane shutter.? Until now I thought the difference was a cloth focal plane shutter vs a metal focal plane shutter - glad you could clear that up for me.

I think it's an interesting time for DigitalRev vids. They seem to be changing the format of their vids. It might work it might not, but I guess there will be a lot of people who like a certain style and others who will like another

...IMHO, they have got the key info about the M9 in this vid being an owner myself. - The SD card formatting time is slow. - Settings for classic lenses - great addition.

 - Anti-aliasing filter is one thing that makes the Leica M9 have the sharp images.

Most office buildings in Hong Kong do not have furnaces or central heating. We do however have air-conditioning EVERYWHERE. It's only until recent years we started to experience cold weathers, probably something to do with the global warming.

Well, technically Hermes are not in charge after selling their share interest in Leica Camera AG. They have remained connected with the company though (convertible bonds) and I believe that their CEO on part of the Supervisory Board? I guess that's why they keep producing those pointless gimmick "Limited Editions" like the Hermes M7...

The M8 was not baboon-bottomed, but it was pretty appalling to make a camera with such issues like that. Especially at that price.

it seems digitalrev went on a complete turn around for the better. the first guy was awesome, and this new guy picked up where the first guy left off, and took it to the next level. great! one suggestion though. in future videos, i suggest this guy wears a shirt/coat mounted mini microphone. if i can remember, that's called a "lappell mic". not sure of the spelling though. it greatly helps to reduce echo. alternatively, use an earphone/headset style wireless mic. just wanted to lessen the echo..
