  • Please pay attention to quallity of sound. It is ease to fix voice over distortion problems. I'll do it for free. I'll help you ;)

  • :{ i wish that the stayed together

  • fuck yoko :(

  • Most of the information in this videos is wrong, get your facts straight

  • And what do you mean John wanted to quit the band, when they were ahead. They were always ahead. And still are. I'm sorry to leave all these comments, but the views need to know your wrong. They can't learn this false information

  • and WonderWall wasn't really a solo album. In a way it is but its not really. Its a soundtrack for a movie. And it was rumored that Paul was killed in 1966 not 1968. And there is clues in and on more albums than the White Album(which you should have said it was nicknamed The White Album, but really called The Beatles) There was clues from revolver and up. And seriously how could you not include, Abbey Road. And they weren't nited by the Queen. Paul was later on though.

  • I hear people at my school talking about Revolution #9. And these people aren;t even Beatles fans. Just because it isn't a good song, doesn't mean its weird. And I think its kinda cool, so I guess, I think it is a good song, in a different way though. And no, he didn't write Hey Jude because he felt bad for kids with divorced parents. He wrote it because he felt bad for John's song Jullian. And the picture at 5:12 is of John and Sean, thats not Jullian.

  • How can you say 1966 was a terrible year then seconds lated say Revolver was released in 1966. The Beatles had no terrible years at all, in my eyes and millions of other's eyes. Magical Myster Tour epiclly failed?? Holy Cow, you serious? That album was amazing. Your thinking on the movie, which was pretty bad, in some peoples eyes(not mine). And Apple Corps is still going on to this day. It didn;t only last one year. I know that Revolution #9 is a popular song, because its so weird.

  • And the melodies in Rubber Soul, weren't clearly drug lyrics. 1966 was a terrible year for The Beatles? Seriously? I'd say its their best year. They released Revolver. Called the third best album of all time. And they started recording Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. Which is named the best album in the world. 1966 wasn't a terrible year for The Beatles. Are you kidding me? If anything it was their best year. But in my opinion, each year was different and unique, so you can't really say.

  • Ticket to Ride wasn't their first song that was different. And Ticket to Ride wasn't a whole lot different than something like you'd here on With the Beatles. And Help! was known as a drug album, just because they were pot heads 24/7. Not because their music was druggy, and that picture of George with a joint in his mouth is fake. It was Photo Shopped. You shouldn't talk about The Beatles in 1965, then show them in 1968, its just misleading.

  • And if you want to make a biography more interesting tell facts that people didn't know. Don't say his real name is Richard Starkey. Say his real name is Richard Parkin Strarkey, because lots of people probably didn't know about the Parkin, part of his name. And also include all of the albums. With the Beatles was also released in 1963. You shouldn't jump from, their first album, to their first movie. I'm sure lots of things happened inbetween that.

  • The band wasn't called John and The Quarrymen. It was just called The Quarrymen. And when Paul tried to get George into the group he was still learning, he wasn't amazing, at the time. But he obviously was a guitar god later on. And they didn't just have John and Paul And George and Pete, to make the Quarrymen, you forgot about a lot of people before that. They didn't amedetley change their name when George and Pete joined.

  • I'm sorry but this movie is just horrible. It was well made but seriously, so much of this is wrong. First of all John wasn't really a pessimist. I think his good aditude and bright thinking, made The Beatles happen. And lots of his songs are happy. And Paul wasn't known as the optimist. They were both pessimists and optimists. Everyone is. Also George once said in and interview that the press just gave him the name The Quiet one because, they just wanted to label them.

  • This video needs some work. Lots of things you said were wrong, and you forgot a lot of important things. And when you talk about something in 1968, you shouldn't show pictures of The Beatles in 1964.

  • Where is Stu Sutcliffe, The Hamburg era, with The Beatles, Paul's 1965 moped crash, Yesterday and Today, Sgt Pepper, and Abbey Road???

  • this is shit..... doesn't tell me anything for my homework :P

  • Good documentary, one critic the classification of John as a pessimist and Paul as an optimist is not always true. John wrote pretty positive humourous or optimistic lyrics like All you need is loive, Good morning, Across the universe, and Paul seemed more melancolic in his themes and did write perhaps the Beatle's darkerst song with Helter Skelter...

  • @BDeiste i agree with that

  • Nice job!

With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!

  • Thank you very much for this video =D

  • Excellent presentation. Did you write all this too? We really enjoyed it at our school.

  • picture of him from beatlemania era

Somehow managed to meet Mick Jagger? He became famous after then, so surely it's his privilege

    OBE, not knighted

I like it though, I understand you were trying to condense it as much as possible :)

  • Apple Corps lasted a lot more than a year! (It still runs today)

MMT 'epically failed'?... It was nominated for a grammy.

Also Apple Corps wasn't made for MMT

Why does Rev 9 matter? :S

Paul didn't feel bad for broken family kids he just wanted to cheer julian up

While talking about Julian you come out with a picture of Lennon with his second son, Sean (born in 1975)

Paul's accident was meant to be in '66

It was always known as the rooftop concert

Ringo went solo after they split, and you show a

  • @hccarter1 Yeah she got a lot of things wrong in this video.

  • And it didn't stop beatlemania, that kind of faded away

You use a photoshopped pic of George with marijuana... from '63...

Help was by no means a drug album

The melodies of Rubber Soul don't sound druggy to me :S

1966 was a great year for the Beatles: They didn't like the mania, so kind of wanted to piss everyone off - see the mood in their budokan performances.

Revolver was the first trippy one, and why would it be hard for them to release it? (Every year previously had 2 albums :S)

  • @hccarter1 I AGREE!! 1966 WAS AN AMAZING YEAR!! THEY STARTED RECORDING SGT PEPPER!! REVOLVER!! but one thing, Help! was considered a drug album because they were like 24/7 pot heads. But yeah, it doesn't sound likk a drug album. And Revolution #9 is pretty popular, because its so weird.

  • a few errors:

    Pepper was more trippy

They weren't actually the optimist, pessimist etc etc - those were made up

It wasn't John and the Quarrymen, it was just the Quarrymen

George wasn't quite 'amazing' when he first joined, he could play a few good tunes though

They were called the silver beatles before Pete Best was in the mix

It wasn't that Epstein thought they had an original sound, but more that he had a thing for John

You don't even talk about the US invasion

Ticket to Ride wasn't new soun

  • Beatles will forever be the greatest. I liked the video to, nice job.

  • I love musick of Beatles

  • I've always enjoyed beatles' songs and I was looking up some of their history and I really enjoyed your video! It's short but concise and very well made. Thanks

  • The Beatles were never knighted only Paul McCartney as he is called now "Sir Paul McCartney" and the rest wasnt. A lot of wrong things in there, sorry.

  • you voice is so damn annoying

  • The fact that you left out Sgt. Peppers, and just outright said Magical Mystery Tour sucked, is just downright upsetting. though I may not get support on this, Yoko is amazing and was very important for and to John. Not mentioning the Ed Sullivan performance really wasn't that smart either. I'm sorry to be so rude and mean, but you are getting far too many good, encouraging comments for such a bad piece of work.

  • You just failed right here. You clearly like them well enough, but you messed up on many occasions. you completely messed up the ending. I'm sorry, but this was not well done. I was very suprised at how many mistakes there were.

They had known Mick Jagger before either band was famous, they met BOB DYLAN (whom you forgot) in 1964 and they're meeting with Elvis was in 1965. they were NOT knighted, the were given MBE's. only Paul was knighted, during the 90's I might add.

  • good job!!!

way better than the Larry King interview!

  • I think this is pretty cool, but I was a bit surprised that you never mentioned their 1964 Ed Sullivan performance, which introduced them to America

  • You skipped two of their most famous albums completely. Also the magical mystery tour wasn't a failure... It was amazing

  • Thought this was going to....well...suck.

    It didn't.

    Good job

  • why does everyone not like magical mystery tour?

  • you kinda forgot about sgt peppers album

  • but if they nver broke john would of nver made all those beautiful song god stand by me all those so i say it was good but at the same times bad thumb up if u agree

  • @skatedestoryer John didn't write stand by me.

  • Thanks i cried :*)

  • Good, but you definitely should have mentioned Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. It's one of, if not the most important album(s) in rock history. Also, Apple Corps is still around. You also should have mentioned Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever. Still a pretty good project.

  • Wow! that was great.

  • Comment removed

  • Well no they weren't knighted, they were only made Member of The British Empire. I believe Paul is the only one who actually knighted.

  • john nd the qeer men lol

  • It's actually "John and the Querymen"

  • Very good job. this actually helped me a little on a project i'm doing for social studies. we had to write a short paragraph on things/people/events from the sixties. =]

  • You forgot SGT PEPPERS! The best album!

  • Great job! My understanding: In Jan. 1960, John invited a fellow art student Stu Sutcliff to join the group on the condition he got his own bass. In May they renamed themselves The "Beetles" (as a tribute to Stu's favorite band "Buddy Holly & The Crickets", then, The "Silver Beetles". In June, they modified their name to the "Silver Beatles". On Aug 18th, 1960, The Beatles began a series of gigs in Hamburg, and John renamed the group "The Beatles". Stu left group. Ringo replaced Pete Best.

  • Great movie, but theres a few things you forgot:

Stuart sufcliffe, Sgt. Peppers (which was their trippiest album), Helter Skelter (which is the grandaddy of all heavy metal) and a few other things. But overall, good movie.
