@Elibobbob I just watched Kurt and Dieter, and I think there were enough differences between the two. Yes, both made fun of the strangeness of European art, but their overall subjects (music and film) were different, and the jokes were different too. In the sketch I watched, Kurt and Dieter were very self-absorbed and trying to prove they were artists, and also had an odd fixation with monkeys. This one seems to just make fun of films like those of Ingmar Bergman.

They're much more like this sketch and very little like that Miky Kyers sketch.

The Kurt & Dieter thing is poking fun at pretentious northern European bands, who are more likely to have been influenced by that kind of movie than Barrat & Fielding are to have been influenced by Myers who basically didn't exist in the UK before Waynes World.

@iadao I totally disagree the similarities are too many. This sketch is a total rip of from Sprockets (search - Mke Myers Kirt & Dieter). The scenario - Interview with European modernist artist, has the same character FFS, the video of the art is just the same visual, the repetitiveness, the dark lips, the style, how can this not be ripped off. I am in the UK and I have been exposed to Myers work as have barrat & fielding. On 1st seeing this sketch I instant knew I'd seen it before on sprockets.
