both parts of 'The Key to Vector Sigma'

'Cosmic Rust'

'Starscream's Brigade' (*this* one) and

'The Ultimate Weapon'

this is the only episode I like where Starscream comically displeases Megatron (the former doesn't appear in either part of 'The Key to Vector Sigma', although he *is* mentioned in part *2*; although he sort of displeases Megatron in 'Cosmic Rust', it isn't as funny as in *this* episode)

@mills1892 - The episodes are miss-numbered. This episode introduced the Combaticons. The Combaticons and Stunticons were created from Earth vehicles and the Arielbots were created from old Cybertron courier and transport shuttles etc.

The writers were SOOOOOOO lazy. Starscream finds 40 year old, rusty vehicles, and all he has to do is stick something in their engine and they are no longer rusty, they have brains, they have joints, they mutate into different vehicles than what he found, and they can transform.

I think the writers goal was to come up with the dumbest possible way to create new toys for Hasbro.

Sad, but kinda true. If only the writers could have come up with the Vector Sigma plot much much earlier in the second season, then everything would have made the series more consistent. Take example the Autobots requiring Vector Sigma to breathe life into the aerial bots, but they didn't have to with the Dinobots unless of course you could explain their quirky and primitive personalities are a result of lacking VS's refined touch.
