  • Moral of the song: The world is a place worth fighting for.

  • @MarioMegaMushroom184 in mk7 rainbow road, part of the music is a remix of this. (unless you already know that)

  • I don't think I ever got to the credits when I played Mario Kart 64 all that time ago (it wasn't owned by me, for a start), but when I listened to this now, I thought "This is from Mario Kart?!" And I don't mean in a bad way, it's beautiful. :)

  • Hope you guys don't bash on me, but I like the DS credits better than this one.

  • I wish they had of put this in Mario Kart 7 for the credits :(

Oops! Put spaces (put the wrong method down)

  • I really like this song its so soothing and it makes you feel comfortable and safe! But today most credit roll songs are like pop and rock but I also like Mariokart DS Ending as well but the N64 had loads of titles with really soothing credit roll songs (like super mario 64) Thumbs up if you agree!

  • Is Mario going to get hammered? Mario isn't about drinking! He;s about spinning, saving, stomping and racing.

  • 8 people like COD

  • brilliant song

  • The 90s will forever be the golden age of gaming.

  • When communism finally conquers the world, this will be the song that will play.

  • @cheesemanegg Why communisim? This song means joy! Well, I guess it's joy to the communists.

  • i play this song and feels something inside my heart that just pours out of me. i look back on the best times of my life and all of my proud accompishments and realize....im only 15 and theres still alot of undescribably amazing things awaiting in my future, and so i take my Nintendo 64 and i go on, bad or good, theres always something coming next....

  • @Bobflannery103 Very well spoken for a 15 year old. Props man, and enjoy classic N64 games! This was truly the golden era for Nintendo.

  • Still play this game with friends on 4 player competitions. The newer games are fun but this one doesn't need any more additions to be incredibly addicting.

  • HIGH AS I CAN GET

  • ok i always keep saying the best theme on random video game music but this time i mean it...The best theme.

  • listen to this and reading ppls comments make me so sad inside wondering what we have missed in the past.

  • 8 people are still trying to get the last cup

  • This came still holds up to this day - that's impressive. I still love to duke it out in battle mode with my friends. I guess good games never become too old. I will always hold the N64 close to my heart...sniff. Hail Nintendo! ;)

  • 8 people have their sound systems set on headphones, and they can't here the music!

  • Ha!! Mario is spraying shampane!!!

  • 8 ppl were cod freaks

  • "Hey your pretty good, see you next time!......."

  • 8 ppl came in their pants and missed the 'like' button

  • Best. Song. Ever.

  • This isn't a tear jerker, this is more victorious and triumphant!

  • ITS SAD AND HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL

  • @Toadbert101 nostalgia

  • Mario is shooting a beer bottle.

  • The best part was 0:00-2:45. :)

  • 8 people got 5th place or lower on luigi circuit on 150cc

  • 8 ppl were struck by lightning right before the big jump.

  • OMG i love this song, would N.E 1 plz tell me where i kan get the mp3 2 this?

  • 2:43 Hey, you're-a very good! See you next time!

  • The best theme i ever heard in my life!!!

  • call of duty black ops... i i imma realy happy for yall and imma let you finish... but Nintendo, 3DO and RARE are still the best gameing companies of all time... OF ALL TIME!

  • The N64 had some of the best music, seriously. This is awesome! But hey, where did you get the pic in the video?

  • @pokemario150 it was on the mario kart gamming guide book. or the manual i think. it was on a piece of paper i know that.

  • 8 people tried to go inside Peach's castle on royal raceway

  • haha :D

  • Beautiful, powerful, uplifting, and inspirational. This makes me think of a better tomorrow and a brighter future. It's like it sends a message to the world saying: "Dreams are possible." I'm grateful to still have N64 and this theme will always be alive inside me.

  • @Mysteria5 I have my N64 too even though analog sticks are crappy right now Im fucking proud of it. Kids today have absolutely no idea what they are losing and they will never get that joy, that magical feeling because nowadays games just doesn't have that, that little magic that kept you playing these few special games for years and years... Multiplayer with friends? Freaking hilarious and great times! No soulless kill'em all over the internet...

  • And back then, I never would have thought I will be thinking of those times with SUCH BIG longing. I miss those times so much...

  • Best Game ever. I have played the game yesterday with friends. I LOVE it. It is the best one to amuse.

    Greeze from Germany

  • 8 people missed the like button

  • 8 People didn't win a gold, silver or bronze trophy.

  • nostalge :(

  • Hold on next gen, Imma let you finish, but the N64 is the greatest game console of all time.

  • i love this song takes me back to my childhood... :' ) i would trade any thing to live as a kid in those days again

  • Mario looks evil in the first picture

  • THANK YOU FOR PLAYING MY GAME!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this theme.

  • I remember when mario was THE man. Now he's over shadowed by losers like master chief.

  • It gives you flashbacks of the good times playing nintendo 64....bomberman 64 had a nice theme too.

  • The N64 was the last platform for the best video game tunes... After that it's all just crap [with the exception to some Gamecube soundtracks].

  • the classic music of awesome success.

man, it makes you dont like today's games and want to go when 64 cost like 200 dlls

  • @GTADIFF well said buddy

  • this was the only mario kart that was really fun in my opinion

  • @5onik101 that's true. SNES version is crap, and the gamecube version changed everything.

  • I remember the first time I finished this game when I was a child, i felt like if I had done something amazing. Every time I hear it I feel happy. VERY few games today manage that.

  • thank you very much!!!

  • to all the 64 gamer this is the best end music to all music. thank you for playing this.

  • they should make a game with the gameplay of oot, the music of mario kart 64, and the awesomeness of conker's bad fur day. THATS what someone would call an epic game!

  • @MajorX9999

Oot has amazing music too o.o

  • BEST GAME EVER !

  • Mario Kart FOREVER

  • I think if they ever made the all expansive version of mario kart that let you play all incarnations of the games and had community support, they should call that invention Mario Kart Forever

  • I never get tired of this music. It makes you feel sad and happy at the same time somehow. It also reminds me of the good days playing N64 when still a kid in my early teens. Just love it thank you.

  • That's what good ending themes do to you! That's why I simply love good ending themes. This theme is such music.

  • There will not be a Mario Kart quite like Mario Kart 64...such quirky, lively tracks. The voices were hilarious. Toad's Turnpike was a lot more daring than the later highway stages and I miss the music. I miss Mario Kart 64.

  • TuT

  • I love this song. Just a perfect piece. I remember it like I'd just completed Mario Kart 64 yesterday.

  • Yeah...good old times...

  • i love this ending it makes me sad nd i remember all the good times i had with it ill never forget u mario kart 64!

  • in my virtual racing career, started with mario kart 64, upgrading to gt1, gt2, gt3, later forza motorspors (gran turdismo never again!), and then R-factor, and now LFS, and this song still bring me memories when i was drifting on the karts with bowser to kick toad´s ass and every asses between me and the finish line...

GOOD OLD TIMES, GOOD OLD TIMES DAMNIT...

  • this song sounds Very relaxing and a bit sad if you really relax and listen to it it really sounds sad and depressing. tell me if you agree if it sounds somewhat sad. :D and i love this track as well!! :3

  • I always thought the same thing with the ending for Chrono Trigger.

  • yea that one was great too! :D

  • Sad can be beautiful. This track really makes me think of a great journey coming to an end. It was fun but you miss it when its over.

  • Exactly! i just didnt know how to say that.

  • you are right. the music here sounds like it's the last game in the series.

  • This ending remind me of Donkey Kong Country ending theme.

  • How exactly is that?

  • My sister has her N64 with some Mario games including MK64 crammed in the shed. We should really go get those out soon, I used to love watching her play her games when I was really too young to even be able to learn the controls.

  • i think this theme is a remix of toads turnpike i can here things from it

  • definitley

  • Too bad my headphones broke... :'(

  • The Best Video Game music EVER!!!!!

  • EVER!!!

  • thank you for this song, I LOVE THIS SONG!!! hit me up on myspace com dsoulja85

  • This is a really AWSOME SONG!!!!.... Mario Kart 64 was the best racing game for the Nintendo 64!!!!.... =D

  • ok!!!!

  • Every song is better on headphones with the sound on max :) You just hear some things in the song that you didn't notice before...

Best racing game ever? Best group of characters ever? Best game companny ever? YOU BET :') Unfortunatly , childhood doesn't come back ...

  • i consider this to be the perfect credits theme. fuck still alive and all the other stuff (even though i still love it). this just gives me this ending feeling, it's almost sad actually. so awesome

  • This stuff certainly brings back memories. I still remember playing mario kart with my neighbour, first game i played on the N64.

  • omg i have shivers all down my spine!! n64 was the best console ever!! EVER!! Only now ppl recognize it as what it is. the BEST!! and this song is just incredible!!

  • Can you believe me that I cried just a litle bit? I remember all my childhood when I got this game on my N64, although also its song its a bit sad and happy at the same time, I feel it :'D.

    Reggards.

  • Man this brings back so many awesome memories

  • yea this is a good song but i perfer the mario 64 ending song

  • dude this IS the Mario Kart 64 ending song

  • He means Super Mario 64, without Kart.

  • whoops misread your comment. Mario 64 ending is nice, but this ending song actually makes you feel like you accomplished something.

  • This music is full of memories of my childhood.

Its so beautiful and touching at the same time.

When I become a game designer in the future, I'll create my OWN generation of videogames, similair to the classic videogame era.

And, I'll make my games with HIGH QUALITY,

the reason? Because of all those childhood memories of classic gaming. 5/5

  • Everything has a moment in time it is at it's best. Like cars.. The new ones will never give the feeling the old ones did. Same goes for gaming, N64 rocked socks. It had it all. Thanks for uploading.

  • Old games are WAY better than new ones.

  • Yeah this brings back alot of memories, this along with Rainbow Road 64 are two pieces of music i'll never forget.

  • i remember this song... i won like 100 times hehehe... so i listened too much :P

  • i love how you put the picture of mario and luigi wih the music.

  • I agree, its a great song!

  • hey very good... see you next time!

  • I loveeeeeeeee 1:44 to 2:29

  • This song is so sad in a good way... why can't video game music be as good now as it was back then?

  • @Nysyarc I agree, but there are exceptions. Gusty Garden Galaxy rivals anything in the N64 days.

  • @shiptoncraig That one is pretty good, but video game music used to be so consistently awesome back in the day. I can think of more than twenty old N64 games that had some great tunes just off the top of my head. Now most games you barely even notice the music because there's so much more focus put into the graphics and animation.

And that's why many new games aren't memorable. It's the powerful, emotional music that you remember about a game, and hearing it again reminds you of it.

  • @Nysyarc you cant be more right about that games are just not made like they used to be its sad really to see all theses ppl playin the new games and forget about the old ones

  • that picture is funny lol who knew mario drank wine lol

  • it's champagne

  • One awesome ending for one AWESOME game. Ya can't put it any other way!

  • this IS the best ending song, ever.

  • completement d'accord!!

  • No.

  • i beat this with bowser and thought the ending would be evil

  • I remember getting an N64 with SM64 and this game when I was three. Playing this game is one of my first memories ever.

I'm 15 now, and the nostalgia just about made me cty.

  • Err. CRY.

  • Wow lol sorry i don't really know how to work with the reply thingies so what i meant with 'you're so right' was to the message of Richter302 lol

    sorry

  • If you still have this game, and your N64, PLAY IT!!! Some of you have MK 64 and a N64, but your crying about your memories! PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU HAVE THE TWO THINGS TO PLAY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I still have both. It's just moments of my life I wish I could experience again.

  • i believe people are crying for the fact that we arent young anymore. these games were some peoples childhoods. memories that will be with us forever but experiences that will never happen again. im sure people could just pick this game up and play but it will never be the same. plus games nowadays just dont feel that memorable and inviting as games past.

  • I agree with you, and games today are just hardcore but alot of those games aren't fun to play as the classic ones were. The new games still have the good music but just listening to something old brings good memories :)

  • yea i guess because ...its not new anymore its not the same .. *sniff* need a moment

  • Hearing this song while reading the comments on this video almost made me cry... Sigh...

  • lol nosalgia atack... such good times and such good games....

  • major nostalgia.

games simply are no longer made this way. without reasonable technical restrictions, developers don't give it their best and push consoles to their limits.

games such as Mario kart wii and Twilight princess pale in comparison to their ancestors.

  • You're so right, these days the people who make the games just seem to pay more attention to the graphics than to the gameplay.

  • wow...WOW!!! *hearts everywhere*

  • crap nostlgia attack

  • Its not ment to be a video, its just music to listen too. So enjoy it cause this is an amazing song :)

  • This is such a good song, My favorite Mario game song. Makes me a little teary eyed sometimes. "Leave Luck to Heaven" forever!

  • "Hey! You veddy goood! see you next time!

  • This song should be the next Rainbow road song! Good music in videogames is a huge plus for me.

  • me and my sister would hum to this everytime! i love this! the best out of all Mario karts!

  • lol evr since i heard this i hooked up my 64 and started to play this just for the good old memories i had wen i was young

  • After i found this video ive been listening to it often, now im thinking of hooking up my 64 to my projector, nice.

  • people say microsoft or sony is better than nintendo. well i think wrong. i know something nintendo has that those other companies dont. great classics that you would play for hours as a kid and wonderful endings that could bring a tear to your eye and the best music in video game history.

  • ah yes one of the best ending thems to a any game long live Nintendo 64 the good old days

  • Only two songs ever made by nintendo made me cry, this one, because its just so amazing, and when it goes overall the courses you feel so happy to complete it, but so empty, becuase such a great game os over, still leaves that lump in my throat and shiver up my spine, the seocnd was mario 64 when it went though the levels too chokes me up :( NINTENDO YOU ARE AMAZING THANK YOU FOR SO MANY MEMORIES AND SMILES

  • I feel the same way. I was the same way with Zelda OoT and Mario RPG as well. I wish I could get these soundtracks on disc or something.

  • zelda pissed me off so much Zelda OoT at the ending, it just freezes, god pissed me off so much, i know i would buy it in a second, should be all the classics from nintendo games

  • The song that made me cry so much is the ending to Super Paper Mario.

  • what gets me is nintendo, microsoft sony or whatever game company or designer no longer makes games that just immerse you in the simple yet fun story. i mean look at yoshis story, or mario 64 or any of the classics, hours as a kid you would spend glued to the screen trying to get to the end of a mission or get that secret character, sure these days there are brilliant effects and plots, but in my eyes its lost somewhat of that warmth you remeber so much as a kid

  • thats best youtube comment i ever saw.

  • if your a dude, cheers man nice to find someone who agrees with me

if a chick, your awesome for being so into this game

    if both

    you rock anyway

  • lol, nostalgia?

  • Amen at Mario RPG

  • This is the best end credits song I have ever heard. 5/5 Nintedo all the way!

  • Nintendo*

  • lol

  • Doesn't this remind you of all the good old days? where the games were simple but fun? Like mario kart 64! or Legend of zelda ocarina

of time? it makes me cry and smile when i reminisce..
