  • This breaks my heart. Everyone I talk to about dairy milk flat out refuses to believe that they are stealing a baby's milk for their own selfishness. I ask them what do they think becomes of the babies, the boys at least, and they say they go somewhere nice and someone raises them. Yeah, on a jellybean farm! Milk from a cow is stolen milk from a calf. We don't need it, that's dairy industry bullshit with government backing. Dairy barely made onto the updated food pyramid from Harvard!!

  • 2:00 this guy surely beats his wife and his children after working.

  • being vegan doesn't dismantle abusive factory farms. Supporting your local Dairy farm will do more to factory farms than "boycotting" cheese and milk could ever do. I eat from my LOCAL dairy and I'm proud of the way that they raise their cattle.

  • im sorry but not all dairyfarms are like this yeah its cruel but most won't tolerate thnis stuff so please don't bad mouth all farms i work on one and i love animals our farm all animals are well looked after and not cruelly treated even the calves get sent to market instead of being bobbied or we put them on trademe to give away

  • Its like I dont wanna buy process milk coz its come to those abuse cows..!

  • This eats "environmentalist" !

  • this eats "environmentalist"

  • You can't juge all dairy farms from these types of videos. You do know that most of them are staged I hope. The male calves do not produce milk, the dairy takes them to a local livestock sale or slaghter, while the females remain on the farm. If all of them lived where would they go?? Do you want a pet cow in your house? They are not pets, they are livestock. Just because they are livestock does not mean they are treated badly. Try looking up videos like "I CARE about my dairy calves".

  • Eating meat is for Barbarians.

    These are concentration camps.

  • heartbreaking....... please be kind guys.... go vegan!!!

  • More and more people are going vegans because of these vdo's . People are done being brainwashed from the advertisements of food industries.

  • @Missnoopuka

you're right, long time a go i vegetarian cause i dont know about life in dairy farm, after know it, i stop consume milk, but still consume egg from my three sweet chicken, everyday they give me egg and i will take care them for the rest of their life even if they not giving me eggs anymore

  • Terrible video.not true at all. Dairy farmers like me treat their animals with respect and care. What kind of moronic dairy farmer would be cruel to a cow if that's where they got their money from?

  • @dukecam160 Those are male calves:Which tends to mean there is little benefits to raising them. They kill them for that reason.

  • hey DukeOfBattles you are arleady started to pay, you are an idiot, ugly and fat. Sitting in the fast-food restaurant is your destiny and stay there forever

  • This is not the life of a dairy calf. This is the life of a veal calf. Get your shit right

  • @dfholton Where do you think veal calves come from? you get your shit right - theyre the same thing!

  • bullshit those guys havet to get them through that door and yea they havet to fucken crm them but these calves do no die the are preciouse money for this company they will be milk and living like a fatass is no cruel this i not cruel what so ever

  • I still think someone will pay a price for this....God gives us such a responsibility...and we fail....

  • i hope you have a heart attack

  • Life we all agree is a miracle, yours, mine, and all things the live. We are all from the same energy, This cruelty to animals must stop. Jain is a way of life!

  • Got Milk?

  • Got soy, rice, hemp, oat, almond, coconut milk?

  • Yum...milk meant for a baby animal, and which involved exploitation and violence towards sentient beings. All so people can feel all self-important. The way I see it, it's human compassion that's being thrown away.

  • would you be open to just posting the first half of the video? i am not by any means trying to undermine your concept of contrasting the two parts- i just would like to share the first half as a stand alone video. :)

  • The original footage by SpiltBeans is titled "Bobby calf searches for mum" and is on the Youtube site of miffywickham.

  • The scene with the man slamming the gate on the calves is not common practice on a dairy. That is a slaughterhouse and a worker can easily be bribed for a few seconds of cruelty to capture on film.

  • Sure, animal advocates "bribe" workers to be cruel to animals...

  • Lemme guess - the activists are bribing the workers to farm and slaughter these animals, too?

  • This video is nothing more than propaganda. Dairymen across the nation take great pride in what they do and how they do it. The health of these animals is their livelihood. And every American is dependent on agriculture. We all have to eat and a vegetarian world is a hungry world.

  • I'm not supporting veganism but to milk a cow, you have to kill a calf - it works like that

  • look bro. we own a dairy. and you don't kill the calf after it's born. you raise it so it can be the next animal to produce milk. and if it's a bull calf you just raise it till about 2 years old and then slaughter em'. unless they have great genetics, then they become something like sperm doners.

  • Typically, a calf is taken away from the mother after 24 hours, when they've gotten the essential colostrum in her milk. If female, they replace their mothers. If male, those who are not used as breeders (many of them) will be shipped to veal farms. This is admitted even by dairy farmers. There can't be milk without a pregnant cow.

  • And males (like male chicks in the egg industry), since they do not produce milk, and are a different breed of bovine than are raised for beef, are useless to the dairy industry. It's not economical in these industries to keep unprofitable animals alive. After all, they are just property without their own interests to be respected.

  • Whether or not they take pride in what they are doing, is irrelevant to the reality that they are using sentient beings as commodities. Dairy farming isn't the only type of farming out there. If there is no longer demand for dairy, there will be demand for vegan products. It's about replacing the old with the new. Animal farmers can always get into organic vegetable farming.

  • thats sad that the baby can see the mom and not be with her

  • sick sick sick. kill abusing humans. make humanburgers.

  • i had to stop midway through this video....i'm vegetarian...but after this i'm going vegan...like someone said below...a fucking ice cream cone is NOT worth this

  • Good on you :)

  • You can still have ice cream! There are non-dairy ice creams made with rice milk, hemp milk, soy milk, and coconut milk! :)

  • OMG - just when I thought I had cried my last tears over the whole stinking mess of "meat" and "dairy"... how horrible! HOW HORRIBLE! No ice cream cone could possibly be worth this kind of cruelty - Please, please go vegan.

  • Please show this to as many people as you can! Meat-eaters are normally more responsive to calves being abused and murdered.

    Thanks for the video/footage, alv!

  • Arn't they supposed to kill them humanely, with a bullet to the brain?

Although that doesn't sound very humane to me.

  • This is typical if a dairy farm, and those pieces of scum in the video should be sacked for animal abuse, they are cowards!! I am vegan and this video shows why.

  • People think cows live happy and free on dairies, that's a load of lies propagated by the dairy industry.

They way those dirtbags throw, shove, hurt and slam the gate on the poor calve is the sick common practice in *all* intesive agriculure. That's why I'm vegan too.

  • we're not brainwashed you are

  • your a piece of shit, an animal is like a human they have emotions and a conscious

  • Comment removed

  • @hs956 I know exactly what you mean when you say people think these cows live happily in a field and only go inside for about 5 minutes just to be milked that is a load of bullshit. I am a vegan also and I just want you to know how much I respect you for being vegan even thought I don't know you.

  • @bluechena This is NOT typical of a dairy farm... This is why small dairies can't survive. The larger dairy farms have ruined things for the small farmer. It is much easier to take care of 40 cows than it is 8000 cows. If anything you should boycott large dairy farms.
