great sound, ive always wanted to learn how to play a resonator, but im only 15 so i got a long time to start!

Hi skat8ropm. =] that's just a slide... a short lenth of chromed metal tube from the guitar store, fitted over the finger. You can get glass, steel, brass....they all sound a bit different.

You got yourself an awesome song going there. I'd say tighten up the bass work a bit, it sounds alittle off rhythmically in some parts, and make it just a bit clearer.

Really cool "mystic South-West blues" sound you've got going there.

What kind of Reso is that? It looks like a National.

Thanks, Infragreen! This 2 and a half minute tune was actually seven hours in the editing!

The reso here is just a budget copy. A 'Vintage' AMG1, very reasonably priced, and a fine player.

Interestingly, these metal guitars 'warm up', - the tone improves with half an hour or so of playing.

I consider one day getting a resonator, much more work with slide to be done on current guitars before I'd think of saving up and getting one though

This particular reso is a Vintage Amg1, got it on ebay for a fair price, and it seems good to me.
