I like the concept of this. Imagine that the movie focused on Doc and his struggle to be recognized as a scientist rather than Marty and the time machine adventures. You get something along the lines of a Nicholas Sparks novel; where the sci-fi spectacle takes a backseat to the personal narratives. I like the concept; but the delivery could use a little work.

interesting re-cut, in that the overall "thrust" isn't too far off the mark. Indeed, I can see a studio choosing a cut like this to appeal to the "egghead" community. Reminds me of the marketing campaign for "Titanic" where they had different ads aimed at women (emphasizing love story) and men (emphasizing action) without losing the overall plot. No points deducted for the sub-par voiceover, since that's a given with re-cuts.

The problem with ALL of these "re-cut trailers" is that they are all being measured against "Scary Mary", which is near perfection. This isn't a spoof, but a true "re-cut". Pretty decent, actually, but the voiceover - both in vocal and recording quality - is fairly subpar, though not horrendous. Find an actor friend and get some subtle, well-picked reverb for the VO.

Editing wasn't bad, audio was a little weak, narration... you need a better microphone and better diction and inflection. The direction of the entire trailer kept shifting, it almost came across like Marty ... had a thing for Doc Brown. lol Nonetheless, on a scale from 1-10, I'd give it a 7, better than average.
