  • i love alan too...yeah it would be awesome if he would decide to do some mork work with dm...his voice is honey...he a bit looks like a beatle here...very very nice man

  • joder, que pelazo....

  • back in DM. please

  • hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm even sexier n sexier n sexier n sexier, wow! this man puts me in heat!

  • Good look, after a year ago sexy maaan! xD

Whoooaaaaaaaahhww!! is a single scream^^ HE IS SOOOOOOOOO FUUUUUUCKING SEEEEEEEEXYYYYY!!

  • alan come back in the band!

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLES!!!

  • Happy Birthday to Alan^^

  • Ok not comb the hair, but cut the hair, looks sorta like a mullet from the 80's so not diggin it

  • Alan, remember to comb your hair before shooting lol

  • i love you <3

  • Good luck wilder..

  • Bye Alan...good luck with Recoil....

    Bye Nineties...

    DEPECHE is 2009 !!!!!!!!

  • wtf idiot

  • F Yourself, idiot !

  • You should thanks Alan for his touch on Depeche Mode, with out him Violator wouldnt have been the same, Martin was pissed when they turned ENJOY THE SILENCE into what it is right now, Martin wanten a simple ballad, and Alan saw the potential of the song and Enjoy the silence transformed into what it is now... one of the best songs ever!

  • cooooooolllllllllll

  • I used to hang out in Austin, Tx when I was stationed in Texas. Austin has great music scene, mostly indie undergound music. Which its very good.

  • I agree, Alan's contribution to DM is not to be contested, but I'd still say that DM without Alan is still better than Alan outside of DM, it is hard to beat that Martin Gore, he really is the "mind" behind DM music, it comes easy to him, music, lyrics ...! I really like Ultra and Playing the Angel, very strong albums, Exciter, not so much, also a note: saying "Alan come back to DM" is probably offensive to him, because it means that his work was better when the music was written by Martin.

  • I love you alan but for god sake...get a haircut...

  • Cool commment!!!!

  • Alan is Great composer & musician.

  • im 35 years old and my first DM album was people are people..DM were wonderful..the memories i have hearing them through out my life..through my relationships..they were the sound track of my life..i cant see wilder ever comming back..he has said many times he loves working with differnt artist with differnt styles..it is in my personal respectful and humble opinion that DM never sounded better than they did with wilder..for me it was over with SOFD.the shift was too much for me, im an 80s kid.

  • Album people are people huh??Dont you mean Some Great Reward!?

  • You are correct: SGR was a DM studio record in which People Are People was one of the songs on that record. However Sire Records also released a compilation EP also named People Are People cashing in on DM's growing success. People Are People (the record) included some B sides and deep cuts off DM's earlier records such as Pipeline.

  • ALAN WILDER FTW! i dont like the music of DM without Alan.

i am an 80s music too, but i born in the 90s

    XD

  • i love alan

  • a. I love your solo work...keep it up

    b. JOIN BACK WITH DEPECHE

    c. The fans love you. We know who you are and what you did. Even if they treated you like shit...guess what...the FANS know what you added (that is, amazing sound, atmosphere, etc) I doubt that even with flood, Violator, SOFAD, Black celebration, et all would be 1/10th as good if you didn't work on them. Please for the love of Christ...we want you back!

  • Allan Wilders contribution to DM was very big. Daniel Miller said, that he was the one that enjoyed making music in the studio the most. Ironical the DM album Ultra was made after Allans break and stands for me as one of the best DM albums eventhough alans not in it and dave was in rehab. It is 13 years since Alan left, and hes music has changend into a lounge music stil away from DM. Today I think it is fine that they have there diferent music style.

  • I love alan

  • congratulations you are of the best thing and you are also a great singer and composer

  • alan wilder is coming back to depeche mode only if Andy Martin and Dave quit :)))

  • tough chance mate.

  • His hairs... hahaha... :D

  • People don't remember Alan Wilder (as much as he'd like to think so) they remember Depeche Mode.

  • por que no vuelve?, le daria vida y luz a DM. grande Alan.

  • He is the best... When he left Dpeche Mode, the band not only lost their best member but their unique sound... The three last albums suck. Alancito mi amorcito... :)

  • I agree with you amigo!! Ultra, Exciter & PWA are very poor DM albums. DM is not the same band anymore

  • yeahhh, by the way, I am AMIGA... :)

  • oops!! i so sorry..

  • Ultra is quite good, but EXC & PTA are very poor, as you wrote.

    but the best is SOFAD;]

  • yup yup i agree they jumped the shark wen alan left they dont even sound the same [toring the angel] sucked (no Afennce) but their songs dont have the same sounds or voices their voices got deeper and they got older their never sound the same without alan wilder

  • Alan was definitely a sorely-missed part of the sount that was Depeche Mode. Although they are still a brillant band, and my favourite, I feel they have lost a lot since the departure of Alan Wilder. I wish they could get over their differences and regroup to once more become the best band EVER.

  • Alan Wilder will never come back. Ever. The only way he will come back is if Andy, Mart, and Dave come up and personally ask him; and if that ever happened, he would still question coming back.

  • what the F happen to him? He needs to go back to DM and get rid of Fletcher.

  • ALAN COME BACK TO DEPECHE MODE

  • he looks very tired, maybe a little bit overweighted, yeah, hair loosing. But what about us, when we will approach 50...

  • alan wilder made my hot rod

  • i totally agree with "eeustagu".Alan was responcible for their sound and you can tell that by comparing the 3 latest d.m. releases, with the late 80's and early '90's stuff. The question is "will he ever go back" or "will they ask for him to come back"?

  • sorry honey, Alan was a good guy when he was with them, but, Exciter and Ultra are their best. It would be cool if he rejoined, but they don't need him. Many great things are yet to come from Dave and Martin and Andrew.

  • Ultra was good, Exciter wasn't that great, Playing the Angel was a much better album. They were better with Alan and it doesn't look like Alan would ever return to the band.

  • His eyes must be very sensitive to light.

  • his eyes are mesmerising, maybe he just wanted us crushed-out but of course musically very serious fans to pay extra close attention to what he was saying? o i don't know, marry me alan!

  • I've been a huge fan of A.W's musical style. His unique approach of remixng and samplng has captred an audience of it's own. I admire his musical style together layering sounds that's a timeless quality of music that's so far advanced and always year's ahead. As a music appreciator and classic flutist, A.W. is in my opinion the bridge between classical and modern music which I feel is timeless. I applaud Alan W.'s architectual style that tends to keep his audience and fans wanting more.

  • Now "THIS" is a real prize! Thank you!

  • what happened to his hair?

  • break the wrapper then! we're ready for ya'

  • come on alan hit us!

  • july 2nd 2007 its going to happen? so the official site saya?

  • Great new !

I enjoy you leave the silence Charlie. We miss you so much in solo and in DM. With you it was the good time I think. Martin has even admited that YOU CAN NOT BE REMPLACED. I totaly agree. I wish you succes with your new porject. I'm waiting for it.

I can't propose myself for the female voice you are wanted but I can give you a hand for your hair ;-)

  • AH! It´s Hepzibahs fault that Alan´s got bad hair! I would be a BETTER wife! My sister can cut it to a mullet <33

  • top man...and Luscious Apparatus what a track...respect 4ever

  • Alan Wilder is responsible for DM's creative peak. Maybe the most underrated artist ever. DM is a joke now, yet Alan's material keeps getting better. Martin Gore was a control freak who started writing bad songs that suck even worse without Alan's hand.

  • Have you even heard Playing The Angel? The Mode is still as awsome as ever!!

  • Playing The Angel is great compared to Exciter. I think if Alan goes back to DM and be given creative inputs to their music, DM would be a different sounding band than we are used to. DM should get back with Alan.

  • It's not going to happen, so why are you discussing it?

  • cuz its nice dreaming thats why

  • cut your hair you naps <3

  • Alan come back... pls...

  • Charlie - Stop hibernating. Please give use some more news about the new album

  • *bows to Mr Wilder*

    Can't wait...

  • ALAN COME BACK. YOU'LL BE IN THE HEAVEN OF THE BEST MUSICIANS EVER, BUT YOU SHOULD COME BACK TO DEPECHE MODE. ViolationForum

  • by the way he did cut his hair to let u all know

  • Post-Alan Depeche Mode is quite dull, sorry...Still I really do love DM. But what's with the hair!?! Get it cut!

  • you should get back with Depeche Mode, i cant really say that about Vince Clark, but you were medular in the sound and the mood that DM proyected, i hope that youre interests are not that far apart, and that you could consider an offer from them.

  • Alan please join the Mode again, that would be super awesome, miss you lots!

  • alan come back

  • Alan and Dave are not only good friends, they've also good business partners in London for many years...

  • Yes they are still friends even better friends than Martin and Fletch

  • and put another catalan song in the album, will be great!

  • Oh yes, Dave as a guest vocalist on one Recoil track would be a great idea. And why not producing or co-produding Dave's second solo album ??? That would be huge!

  • dave and alan dont get along..thats why alan left depeche mode

  • you are wrong actually, that is not why he left the band. Dave and Alan are still friends.

  • Dave singing on one recoil track and Alan producing the next dave's album. Greats ideas. I hope Alan will read this.

  • Can't wait for new Recoil material!

  • Alan man get Dave to sing on one of your tunes in the future. That would be great!! Best of luck with the new album - Chris, Ireland.

  • Hello? I just tried to respond but it seems it did not show up> testing 123

  • Oh, and can you do some live gigs as well please? Thanks

  • Charlie - two comments - 1) More news please - we need another update 2) Get your hair cut

  • come on alan amaze us!!

  • and get a hair cut to

  • u are genius alan,i am impatient for this

  • he needs a hair cut xD

  • best wishes to u alan

  • Its great to know that that there are artists who care enough about their fans to not only keep them appraised of what's going on with them; but to take the time out of their busy schedule to do it such a personal way... Fantastic! Alan is a true visionary - can't wait!

  • it´s just great!

    can´t wait!

  • i wish he would reunite with depeche

  • It would be the best for Alan Wilder and obviously for DEPECHE MODE.

  • If Alan Wilder were a Wiggle, he would be Chrome Wiggle.

  • the man...period.

  • I can't wait to hear it, Alan! XOXO

  • Wow. It's not often that artists genuinely care about their fans enough to give them a heads-up about what's going on in their lives and careers.

Thank you, Alan, I await the new material with bated breath!

  • at last, I was in withdrawal

  • I'd like to hope his new album is a bit more.. dare I say it 'commercial' than his last few.

  • Can't wait!

  • He is still looking good, hard to belive he is 47 years old.

  • Thanks for the great news, Alan (can't believe I didn't notice this video earlier).

Well, 2007 will definitely be a great year for music, with new Recoil, NIN and Skinny Puppy LPs (and maybe some new Nitzer Ebb material).

  • awezome !!! love you Alan! You look amazing waiting for your great comeback LP and try to keep us posted w/ news of your wonderful work. Good Luck !!!

  • LUV THE DEPECHE MODE!!

  • He was in Texas? Damnit he shoulda called me and we coulda had a few beers and shot the breeze!

  • Are we more interested in his looks or the fact that we're going to get a new album after what will be seven years at the time of it's release? I fall into tthe latter.

  • Good for you, Mr. Internet.

  • His music is inversely proportional to his awful actual look ;)

  • Awesome! It's about time. Can't wait to hear what the man has up his sleeve this time.

  • excellent news! looking forward to it

  • This hair is awful, but I'm happy for the new recoil album! :D

  • No doubt about it, this man is a chameleon. : )

  • By the way, this video is a riot if you're really, REALLY stoned. It runs for THREE FRIGGIN'YEARS!! o_O

  • A CHAMALEON ? NO WAY... HE'S GOD ! :)

  • I meant "chameleon" in a flattering way. As in, he is able to constantly change his appearance. Can't be certain if he is actually God, though. I'll let you know when I'm dead. Wait a minute...

  • He's still freakin' beautiful! I can't wait!!!

  • You're the best Alan, the best Depeche albums were edited with you in the group and you working in the studio. Gore sucks he feels is the master mind but he is not you're.

  • i don't think mr. gore sees himself as the mastermind and on the other hand: where would depeche be without martin gore? nevertheless mr. wilder is missed a lot

  • Gore dosent suck!! he writes the songs!

    He's a genious!

  • Alan is a great musician and producer, but who provided the good material to work with??? That's right, it was Martin. So shut the fuck up, asshole.

  • Dude, no offense but you really don't know what da f*ck you're talking about, Alan is a great musician and Gore is a gifted song writer, ... please don't compare.

  • I agree 100%

  • Cant wait!!

  • Great to see Mr. Wilder after quite some time. Can't wait to hear the new stuff. Alan - we still miss you...

  • omg! he is still hott!

cant wait for the new stuff!

  • Best of luck Mr. Wilder.

  • I wanna fucking kill him for that hair.

  • Yeah me too! He should cut it. Like right now. CUT IT ALAN!!!!

  • Ahahaha you two crack me up! I LOVE his hair! He needs to 'Hawk it!

  • Ooooh, a mohawk! Alan would look amazing with a 'hawk! *drool*

  • You've really made my day!!!

  • Good to see Mr Wilder back again. I've been craving some new Recoil for a long time - looking forward to hearing Al's amazing work with a southern blues singer. Interesting. :)

    Oh, yeah, nice hair!

  • Check out the hair!

  • Great news! The waiting has now began :)

  • Fantastic news Alan! I can't wait!

    Best wishes for all!
