Being uke like that is always such a great workout. You don't realize how much energy you use up getting back up again over and over. Too bad your uke had to part ways.
Yes I love to take Ukemi too! I feel you learn so much about the waza from being thrown just as much as you do from being Nage. Take care webslinger1!. Peace!
So true about learing about the waza from being thrown. We have a saying, "its always an honor to be the self-defense 'dummy' for sensei" haha. There is also nothing like being thrown, having that moment of "what just happened" and looking up at sensei or whoever nage was staring down at you and realizing that nothing is damaged or hurt. Those moments where everything blended so well and your attack was committed and you EXPERIENCE Aikido in real time.
Very nice demo Lara. That uke had a ton of potential. I assume he no longer trains? Too bad, but we both know how that goes. By the way, those nikyo's are wicked! Most impressive...
Thanks Boaz sensei. I agree that uke had a lot of potential. And your right to guess hes gone now. He wanted to learn to hurt people so we parted ways. And thanks on the Nikyo comment:)
Great Robert 5 BELTS! Your Aikido is great wish it was slower to watch. You really need to post lessons up here directed at this audiance. Peace and honor my friend.
Robert you are truly a talented Aikido practioner that moves with grace yet has power at the same time if that makes sense. 5 stars and favourited . An excellent video Sensei . Keep up the good work sir.

I'd be interested to see more of gametsuki iriminage. I always enjoy that technique, very simple yet powerful.
