  • Sounds more like The Little Blue Obsessed Stalker.

  • @Zombie00Goddess Maybe it was Grover or the Cookie Monster

  • My mom talked about this and sang parts of it as we grew up, but finally when I was in my teens she found her old records and we got this and nervus norvus into the bargain. We loved it all.

  • First heard this song in 1998 by one of the teachers at the elementary school i went to. Heard it only once, and now in 2012 it's still been in my brain. So I finally decided to type it into youtube, and lo and behold here it is. Exactly how I remember it.

  • OMG, this song has lingered in my subconscious since I was a kid in the 50's....it haunted me to this day.....argggggg, now I know why. LOL

  • im 20 years old and love this song my friends daughter 5 years old also loves this song

  • this is the most terrifying song I have ever heard ever. it's as though Circus Clowns, Betty White, and a harpsichord were thrown into a bowl and mixed together with Satan's saliva.

  • I prefer this one to the Petula Clark version. The little blue man's voice is better (I think). I used to hear this on the radio a lot.

  • An old friend of mine used to sing this song all the time to me and her daughter when we were kids...except she would change the "blue" to "green". When we were kids, and up until she died, I thought she had made this song up. At her funeral, I thought she would have taken the words to her grave because nobody else knew the song. This brought a smile to my face! Thank you for uploading this!

  • The ending... the ending!!!! HER FACE!!!

  • moral of song...you can only push a man so far!!!

  • Oh yes...my dad played this for me all the time as a kid. On his reel to reel. O_O Love it.

  • My mom gave us this record when we were in elementary school

  • Petula Clark covered the song in the UK.

  • i had no idea that this song was around anymore.... thanks for findinig it and posting it.......

  • Veyy few people know this but this is the final edited version. The original that was scraped has at the end after he says "I don't wuv you anymore" is "...and I'm coming back to kill you to bits".

  • @CuffedJeans That made me laugfh so hard!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahaaha

  • Funny

  • My grandmother sang this to me just before she died it was r song thank u for post in this !!

  • So remember ladies, if a man is stalking you, just lure him to the top of a building and push him over the side.

  • During the early 90s, I visited many public schools in Ontarion California and led the children in sing-alongs. "The Little Blue Man" was my most requested song.

  • The meaning behind this song is shes basically being followed by a blue demon, everywhere she goes....terrifyin shit! lmao..very odd song, and even odder video LMAO

  • my mum used to terrorize me with this song when i was little. I still freak out whenever i hear it LOL

  • awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!

    i wuv u

    i wuv u to bits!

i wish someone would say that to me!!!!!!

  • I remember this song when i was a little girl, SCARYYYYY as hell!

  • haha i like this song. its funny!!

  • That is one bad LCD trip! Bitch pushed him off the roof! There is a creepy likable quality to this song. I wuv it!

  • The 1st time I heard this song was on Dr Demento

  • When I was younger for some ungodly weird reason, I was terrified by this song but now that I listen to it when I'm older, I'm... kicking myself.

  • Yeah, until the end this story is pretty much terrifying.

  • my nanny used to sing this to me and i thought she was just being a crazy old grandma, love it<33

  • Song brings back memories!! Scary as hell video tho! lol

  • iv got a little blue man XD

  • my dad would sing this to me :)

  • @reddeviless i'm deeply sorry for your loss. She is still with you. And she wuvs you!

  • I played this 45 rpm till it wore out.

  • Boy, does this bring back memories...

  • My mom used to sing this song to me when I was a little girl. Now I sing this song to my little girl. :) Wish it had a video for my daughter. It's a fun song.

  • I expect much better from the independent filmmakers.

  • This is so sad, she really just wanted to love him. :-(

Bye Little Blue Man. I would wuv you too.

  • I have not heard this song since I was about 10 some thirty eight years ago, thank you

  • Oh my godtopus... Fluffmodeus.

  • I live in Canada, a $5 has a little blue man on it.

  • My grandmother used to sing this to me when I was very little. As she got older she forgot some of the words, I soon forgot about it altogether. Till one day I was singing to my son and randomly starting singing bits and pieces. For a year I looked up trying to find the song, funny thing was I thought it was " the little green man!"

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for posting this!

  • This song haunted me as a kid when I discovered it in my parents record collection.

    Thanks for posting it.

  • Alright I like this song, but your video distracts me from the song. You don't have to transition between the same picture every second if it were differen't pictures it would be fine.

  • Simply do not watch the video

problem solved thank you for your comment

  • I LOVE YOU LITTLE BLUE MAN. XOXOXOXO

  • Creepiest shiz I ever heard...

  • hahahahahha, oh my god xD

  • I guess for the sake of completeness this video was posted. But it is so bad and the women, does anyone really make their face like that? The screen changes made me dizzy.

  • thats why shes a blond (dizzy blond)

  • Youtube is a muthafuka I never thought I'd hear this again.

  • I don't see why this had to become scary...

  • poor blue man

  • Wasn't Lou Dobbs the voice of the little blue man? I recall that trivia snippet from Dr. Demento.

  • The altered voice of the "Little Blue Man" on this record was none other than Hugh Downs.

  • It was not Hugh Downs but Frank Ebb who co-wrote the song.

  • ahhh, nothing like a search on You Tube to find songs that you haven't heard in decades (and with good reason). Wow. I remembered every single syllable of this song, and as others have said, I didn't appreciate then how really creepy and scary it was.

  • my grandma bev sang this song to us as kids

  • i havent heard this song for 50yrs. my mum used to sing it to me, i didnt realise it was scary, it wasnt back in the past, but, unfortunately, by todays standards, its become a scary song.

  • My Mom sang this song when I was a young!! I wuv this song!!

  • Cute song. :D

  • I wuv u I wuv u 2 bits

  • Of course she's spooked by the little blue man - by anyone's standards he's a very persistent stalker!

  • I can see how this song is scary, You dont know anything about the "little blue man" or why he loves her and the thought of some tiny blue skinned man surprising you is fairly creepy and there is definely somthing disturbing about the last lyric of the song "I dont love you anymore"

  • is in not more creepy and scary.. she pushed the little blue man over the side??!!!

and hey if the girl of my dreams pushed me off a building I wouldn't love her anymore either!!!

    gees

but i thought how cool this whole thing would be if they turned it in to a campy thriller scary type movie..

maybe have the girl in the movie keep trying to kill the little blue man and keep ending up killing people instead by mistake..

  • I had this song when I was a kid, on a spooky halloween album, I never understood why this song was scary.

  • i just said to my nan do uw ant em to make u a cd and she said all the songs i want u haven't got and i said i can play any song int he world and now she beleaves me

  • /: why would she try to kill him?

    real sad.

  • omg i love this song! its my fav from camp, we would sing it round da fire. lolz the ending would always make me sad though

  • iT'S MY PUPPY'S FAV SONG .LOL

  • Hugh Downs did the voice of the little blue man in this recording.

  • I heard this song in a movie theater the other day. We laughed but then it was sad when the little blue man didn't love her anymore. :-(

  • You are reading too much into it, by taking the words of a novelty song literally.

  • I remember this song well, and it upset me as a little girl. I also (like an earlier poster) have it as the little GREEN man. I read on a different site this evening that there was more than one version of this song - some doing BLUE man and others doing GREEN!!

I just wish I knew who sang my remembered version of the GREEN man. I used to hear it on Saturday Childrens Hour (?) as a little girl, I think...

  • My mother was singing this song in the car, we've decided that it really has some nasty stuff behind it. I'm soo looking up where this came from. We both took a little bet on where it came from, sinc eit is such an odd song.

  • It is 2009 and i heard this song on the radio. I am 11 and was laughing so hard it hurt. My little brother practically suffocated himself laughing.

  • =( how could she try 2 kill him? all he did was wuv her!!!

  • @seripmavevolI he was a stalker!

  • @seripmavevolI And stalked her everywhere she went...

  • @Wolfrover Whoa, that was two years ago. And anyway it's still murder! ... Technically.

  • @seripmavevolI yeah, fuck dat bitch!

  • This was the first record I owned. My parents bought it for me when I was a very young child. I still like the song a lot. Petula Clark recorded this song in the UK. I like this version better, and the voice of the Little Blue Man on this version is better.

  • I was so little when I heard that song...It was about 40 years ago. When was that song released? Also, Thank You so much for posting it... ;-)

  • I was 11 when I heard. It was released in 1958.

  • Evil or not, the song and the sound is very good listening. A sad one that is not country music!!!! Thanks for sharing, Max.

  • Great music. 5***** G.G.

  • He would not have been a nuisance if she just loved him back. Typical.

  • we love this song! thanks

  • I just posted this to another video but I can't stop saying it: I can't believe this is the blue and not the green man. I am 30 (oh, just turned 31, doh!) and I grew up listening to this song on Dr. Demento. I sing it to my cat all the time. I've always thought it was green man. I am so shocked my memory tricked me all these years. Glad to hear it again though!

  • still like it though...still makes me laugh......EVIL IT IS I SAY

    :D:D:D:D:D:D

  • my dad kept playing this song to me growing up lol. im 15 soon iv always listen to the words its a nastey song but i dont know why it makes me laugh?.im an odd child.

and NO the little blue dont like us any more they have made a pact with the little green people that live in whats now my sisters room and are trying to kill me..they tried to trip me down the staires when i was carrying a heavey box.ITS NOT GOOD!!...im not mad just a little weird.the stories true their evil all cause of this song

  • This was my very first record (it was a 45), and it wasn't until I was in my 40s and heard the song again, that I realized that she pushed him over the edge! All those years and I thought it was a kids love song!

  • I always felt a little sorry for the little blue man. But having him around all the time could be a nuisance. Fun song.

  • I have the LP

  • my garndpa taught me this song.

  • Maybe if the little blue man isn't right for her she could get things out in the open...and the community can work togeather to help the little blue man find a little blue woman...Lets not discriminate against little blue men or purple people for that matter..lol

  • i remember listening to this when i was tiny.

  • Shame the beginning is chopped off.

  • This is a very camp-tastic song. :D

  • This was also recorded by Petula Clark, on the B side of her single Baby Lover.

  • Haha, I learned this at camp last year!

This video is a bit spastic....

  • amazing. my mom used to sing this to me. this was a song her mom sang to her. i always thought it was something her mom had invented..... but low and behold it is real! and get this; my grandmother's name was Eliabeth Johnson.

  • aw.

  • That poor misguided blue man, he only wanted to be wuved.

  • used to act this one out-yeah!I was NUTS!still, Its a demented classic!Yay for barry Hansen!

  • i havent heard this song since i was about 5 back in 1970

  • My mom sang this to me when i was young and i thought that she was crazy and had lost her mind. know i know she is not crazy.

  • oh my god, same here!!

  • I heard this a couple of times on the Dr Demento show when I was a kid-- catchy little tune.

  • Thanks, my mum use to sing this to me when I was small. Now I know she not crazy after all.

  • Don't know if it's a fact but I've heard that the voice of the little blue man is Hugh Downs of the Today Show.

  • According to the liner notes (written by Michael Streissguth) for Betty's Hits--Vol. 1 which includes this song, songwriter Fred Ebb did the voice and states that the reports of Hugh Downs doing the voice are not true.

Thank you, THUNDER40CAL for posting this novelty hit, by the way. Betty Johnson makes homicide sound so cute, lol, especially the high-pitched way she says "pushed" when describing the act!

  • When I was 3 or 4 my sister owned and played the 45 of this song. And it used to give me the spooks!!

  • Bless you for posting this. I have alwayslovedthis song.

  • Hee, hee. Mine too!

  • if you like Betty Johnson give a listen to her hit song "I Dreamed"

    barrygio1

  • I love this Song!!!

  • god i love this song i wish i could find it for kereoke! it always makes me cry though, "i dont lub you anymore" :(

  • GAWD! I wuved this song to bits, when I was 5.

    Thanks for the post.

  • Thanks for posting this real classic. You probably may know that the voice of the Little Blue Man is the host of the first "Concentration" game show, as well as "20/20", Hugh Downs.

  • It has also been said that Fred Ebb who was a co-author with Paul Klein is actually the voice of the "little blue man," not Hugh Downs.

  • I played the part of The Little Blue Man in a dance recital in the late 1950's, We didn't mention the part about pushing him off the roof, but I did have a tear in my eye when I said "I don't wuv you anymore!" I can't believe this is on here!!!

  • Many years ago (in the 60's) I had this on an old Atlantic label 45 RPM record that disappeared. I have been looking everywhere for this, including YouTube. Thank goodness I decided to try one more time! You must have been "feeling" my vibes. THANK YOU - THANK YOU

  • When I was like 6 years old um like 1969, I stole the 45 of this record from my best friend cause it made me laugh so hard! I didn't think ANYONE else had every heard of it I want to see someone do a video to it.

  • Hey,smgruhlke, you weren't living anywhere near Winchester NH when you um "confiscated" that 45, were you??

  • GREAT! Wow! I wouldn't find that 2 days earlier lol

I like that to use that for my show someday!

I'm glad you post that thank you :)
