Tony Hawk's games were made way before Skate. I've been playing them for a long time, I grew up with button mashing unrealistic skating, and thats how its going to stay.

Though I wanted to skate in real life and generally try to skate realistic in Tony Hawks (don't have PS3/X360 to play Skate), it still fun to play unreal sometimes, like those huge gaps, big (not so, actually, in my case) combos and those nice impossible tricks like these of Nail-the series.

RetArDoFILMS... you are so right. I personally think that THUG was the best skate game cause it was fun and you can get the mates round for a drink and chase each other with fireballs. The soundtrack is also awesome. Storylines did deteriorate after American Wasteland.

He doesn't look at the 3 different types of skater you can be, and he doesn't really comment on what Tony Hawks games are about - you can play it in a casual way, or in a competitive way. He hasn't played the early TH games, so he has no idea about what these games are about...

Imagine your thumbs on the analogue sticks or whatever. My brother has Tony Hawk's: Proving Ground and I have Skate. And Skate is way more realistic - you can't jump over things the size of three roads. And on Tony Hawk's when you drive up curbs at the edge of the roads it goes dodgy if you look. The graphics are also better on Skate.
