this is defintely fromjapan because he sounds exactly the same from the livein japn album and this single was released in the winter of 73, which means it couldnt have been the children's expo.
@HaliB75 No Hallelujah day wasn't recorded until after save the children. Hallelujah day was recorded in early 73 and a single in march of that year. It's live in Japan
This was one of the few times the Jacksons said/sung anything controversial in their (early) career. You do realize this song was about the rumored end of the Vietnam war. Back then if you said anything against the U.S. war policy & you were famous, you were taking a big risk. (See; Rowan & Martin, Eartha Kitt, The Smothers Brothers, etc.).
I think I so Randy playing the brown drums in the background. I wondering why did they just have thier name change to the Jacksons 6 since Randy is always in the background. Randy was already on stages with his brothers from the begining.
His voice was changeing

Michael was having a rough night- he just couldn't hit the high notes on this one- he was probably exhausted.

The Jackson's were born to be entertainers. So much talent and dedication to their craft. I really miss these days.

Chip8endale,you are lucky.
I regreted missing this concert.
I listened to Live in Japan album like thousands times wondering how great Michael's performance was.
This song was also put in the album when it was first released in Japan 1973.
Thank for uploading.

Thanks, I love it. I would love to hear a full quality of this performance. It seems to be a tad funkier than the studio recording.
