It's really sad how this iconic, quintessential and beautiful sounding british amp is now having it long and proud reputation wrecked by korg who now own vox. These amps all ways were made in england and were top notch quality and now they are shit all made in China & Vietnam! They still stick union jacks all over the brandinding... PISS TAKERS!
@YourCrazyCattysCat.... If your going for an ac30 get a second hand one that's made in england the ones made in the marshall factory in the mid to late 90s are good! All the ac30 models now are made by korg who manufacture them in China & Vietnam and there fucking shit quality!
I wonder If I should get this or the new Vox AC15C2. I mostly play in my bedroom, but who knows, I might have gigs someday in the future. I would probably use it for cleans or low gain stuff.
Also, I already have a 2x12 cab with some Vintage 30s and I'm wondering could I use it with the Vox to play through all four speakers at the same time?
@banicom44 It's loud enough to use in clubs and practicing with a band (unless there's someone with a 100 watt stack). For bigger venues, mic it up and have it pumped back thru the monitors.
I love VOX amps due to a love for The Beatles. Sadly my VOX has stopped working on one of the two speakers. Sent it to repair, and it worked for a week. Now only one of the two speakers make a sound. The other one is dead.
I was just wondering if the AC15C1 will actually plug into my 4X12 marshall 1960A cabinet??? It has 4 greenback speakers as well. The specs says that there are 2 external speaker outputs and a cabinet at 16 ohm speakers will be heard along with the AC15C1 speaker on the 2nd input. Will it work or are u not sure? THANKS!!!!
@initiald31 Yeah it's called daisy chaining. You plug you're guitar into the high input of either channel on one ac30, then you run a cable from the low input of that same channel, into the input on the other amp. This works since the inputs are wired in parrallel, meaning when you plug into one input, the signal gets transferred over to the other input of that channel and is available to be sent to other places. This was a common technique with old fender amps and marshall plexi's.
Just bought the AC15C1 last Friday... I'm so impressed by the clean sound of this amp, as well as the Top Boost channel! In one word: magnificant at a great price!!
@theozzman67 I'll help you out here...The AC15 is perfect for gigging small clubs on the top boost channel (you can crank the volume to let the tubes really let loose) Though the normal (clean) channel can only get so loud, I mean, it's only 15 watts...remember that. That's why it is a great recording amp. The AC30 is LOUD...you can turn it down and get great tone from it playing live....but the top boost (crunch channel/overdrive) only opens up when you crank the volume, becoming really loud.
@VOXampsforever hey but is it possible to jump it using an ABY box? I mean by sending the signal to both normal and top boost channels; or would it break the amp?
@vixo94 It is possible, i did it today. You need an adapter cable, like one from one quarter inch into two quarter inch output, and plug each of the ends into both channels.
what a fucking nice amp lool i need to get one !!! i have a marshall avt50 but.. i think is not a very good amp.. i think is good but seeing this video i think is a shit xD
I was looking at the "Fender BluesJunior 15w" and I like it, but when I heard the Jumped tone on this amp....I was blown away, I am soon buying a AC15!
@TechnoRAWR Sorry to piss on your parade fella but if you want to jump the channels, you're going to have to buy the AC30C2. The AC15C1 only has two inputs, Normal and Top Boost, only the AC30's have the four inputs enabling to jump the channels.
However I think you can get pretty close to that 'jumped' tone with the AC15 anyway, I'd try one in store though, just to make sure.
Yes, they are close. However, the VT's strengths are versatility, and having many models and effects on board. The AC15 and AC30 models really feel and sound good and give that VOX vibe, but the AC30 Custom Series have full tube pre and power amp sections, with very high end speaker choices, which make them the real authentic thing. There is really nothing like the real AC30s and 15s.
@VOXampsforever Thanks alot for the response guys....i think i'll buy the vox vt 50.....since i can get a close matchin tone + versatility......and it fits my budget....i can't afford these custom series....lol......thanks mate!

Mcboy1812 youre gonna get much better tones out of the AC rather than the vt series. Unless you want something really loud, then go for the AC
lespaulking1993 5 months ago
I don't want to hurt AC's users, but high gain sounds like an oldman's fart.

can i jump the ac 15?
answer please!!!
thanks

@vixo94
No, as the 15 is a two channel amp with only one input pure channel, so there is no 3rd or 4th input to jump to. Not possible.
