I have some silly questiions about this product lol

1.) why they sell the 8GB and 80GB together in the same big package, wont it be better to sell it separately? I guess the big one is for movies and the small one is for mp3 only? So is better for us to buy the big package then..in term of the price...

2.) I notice the magnets on the earphone is it safe using that outside on a rainny day? (remember what happen to the ipod's earphone) Thanks...

Occasionally though, my zune screan will read "connected," and a screen on the computer will pop up saying that my zune is not updated and i need to update it. So when i go to settings to update the player, the zune screen changes back to the normal screen. ?

Yes, update the player, it helps tremendously. I got games and it recognized my player when i did that.

I have a problem with my new 8gb zune(black). When i plug my zune into the back of my computer, my zune boots up and starts to charge, but the zune software does not recognize the player. so my problem is that i cannot sync my zune with my computer because the software doesnt recognize my zune. If you have any solutions to offer, it would be greatly apreciated.

I was having the exact same problem. You have to update your zune. ANY updates that it has to offer, DO IT. I did that and i started to see that it recognized my player. I hope that it helped!

Hey hubertis99, I've encounted the same problem on my zune and found the only way to fix it is to delete all content from you zune with the zune software and then put everything back. I'm not sure why they even have the reserved space, it gets annoying. Hope that helps.

Dude, did you happen to notice that this video was uploaded in November of 2007? Prices change over time - what I said was accurate at the time. Today, in July 2009, an iPod Touch 8 GB is $229. But a Zune 120 is $228. Besides, the two products serve completely different purposes - the iPod Touch is a PDA, the Zune is a media player.

The iPod Touch is also a Media Player smart guy. Yes, it is a PDA as well but you get the best of both worlds. iPod Touch doesn't only serve the same purpose but a whole lot more than the Zune 120.

i personally HATED apple

after purchasing a 120 zune...

software was crap, synching n stuff was a headache

there is also no language pack to support any unicoded asian languages

also, you may see that the zune is thicker than the ipod as well and managing your songs is far, far harder than on itunes

once again, i remind you, i am a microsoft fan, and i hated apple

but after having used both brands, i confidently say ipod kills the competition clearly...

Definitely the Zune 80. It's thinner, more storage, nicer design, nicer screen, and it has the touch pad. The Zune 30 is more rugged I think, but that's about all it has going for it compared to the newer Zunes...

The Zune 80 and Zune 120 are identical in every way other than the storage capacity...so the "better" one depends on how much storage you need, and how much you pay for it. The Zune 80 has been discontinued, but you can still find it some places. The Zune 120 is the replacement for the Zune 80.

Just bought a zune 8gb from new egg for 80 bucks with the free "car pack", I thought it was a pretty good deal so I had to get it. I heard the the car pack is really useless, so I'm glad I got it for free (can't believe they sell it for 70 bucks!!), from what I hear it's more of a charger for your car rather than the whole FM thing.

Which leads me to the next question: Do you consider reviewing official accessories in the future?

im going to have to go with *ThoughtsMedia" The Zune 80, or i guess any versions that they have out currently, are not exactly supposed to be competing against the ipod touch, but the other ipod gen type. Any ways i will have to see which company can do better with their "Mp3's" because rumour is that ZuneHD (new zune-touch compatable) meant for competition w/ ipod touch, is launching around fall, and by the looks of the "leaked" pictures, and features, its uh, lookin pretty good.

It's all a matter of opinion, but I think the Zune 80 or 120 is better than the iPod Classic in every way. The Zune can't really compete with the iPod Touch though (nor is it designed to), that's where most people prefer an iPod...

dood, to be honest i have both the ZUNE and the IPOD. Ive played the same song with the same headphones. The zune dosnt have as good as sound. The ipod has more richer bass, and high tones. the ipod is the way to go.
