This is something I wish 2k would improve upon is the dribbling. But seriously, in a real NBA game, there's not that much dancing on the court. At times, yes, but at least Live will give you the option to take someone off the dribble.

Sizing up a defender can be strategically counterproductive. Wastes time off the shot clock. Allows help defense more time to establish itself. Can take a team out of rhythm. Breaking a defender down is simple: Pick a hip and attack. Old school basketball. Attack the defender's directly to get them on their heels and make a move. That is it. Do not need to dribble several times to ge a feel. Counter the defenders reaction if it successful and attack.
