Maybe you'd like to expand into more subtle local variants. Perhaps try the Northampton (shire) accent sometime. Someone famous you can listen to on YT is the writer Alan Moore, though his accent is not the strongest. The real strong accent comes from the older generation and/or those who've hardly been anywhere else. Need to visit. It's quite distinctive. Most prominent things are the 'a' sound and the 'i' which turns into something between an 'oi' &an 'au'. Vowel sounds in general I guess.

There is a huge difference between the Yorkshire and Lancashire accents. Imagine a man from Preston talking to a man in Bradford, they will sound nothing like one another. When I just step over the boarder onto Barnoldswick I can really notice the difference.
