  • it was made by clay? how about another material? ^__^

  • Comment removed

  • I never thought about using clay for a crown...so creative!

  • can you make anything instead of a cross

  • @studyingforbeauty12 Yes, if you can figure out how to cut another shape to stick on top. ^^

  • I havent seen all your videos but can you please do a Chii ear tutorial? Its really hard for me to find a simple video!!

  • Is air dry clay okay? The one from crayola?

  • @trishaleo7 The lighter the clay the easier it will be to have it on your head. =) I don't know about crayola, but you can try it out and let me know ^^

  • It actually stays up with out sliding all over the place? o3o Interesting.

  • @PerfectPride Nah, I got some hair pins to hold it in place. =) Or you can just stick it onto the thick ribbon like in Chobits.

  • clay tip: I found some "Magic Clay" at the dollar store. It worked perfect. ._.

  • @momousa12 Just with normal gold acrylic paint and a brush. =)

  • Would i be able to use other kinds of clay? my local craft store didn't have any paper clay:(

  • @fairychic55 I used paper clay coz it was light and I didn't want a brick on my head. =3 Normal clay will also be hard to secure into place and not fall off.

  • @xGoldieflameheartx What do u mean connecting the circle and the cross? Do you mean the cross at the top or the cross of the crown? =S

  • @Evalrie Sorry about that xD

    Circle and the top part.

I don't know if it's the type of clay I use or what.

  • @bleachgirl100 I just used the paper clay shown in the vid. Got it from my local craft shop. I can't imagine other paper clay be too different =/

  • Did you use just one packet of magiclay for the crown? Did you have any leftover?

  • @berrybellcosplay Yeh, one packet was enough. The crown wasn't that big. Leftovers I used for the dots and the cross.

  • that so cool :D but what kind of paint would you recommend if I were to paint over it?

  • @Dhlila I painted it with gold acrylic paint

  • @Evalrie I'm a brat when it comes to wearing ribbons, so can you use hair clips instead?

  • @karutouchiha You can try. What I ended up doing is just gluing the crown onto a red headband instead as the ribbon annoyed me too. Lol...

  • So here's a question, would sanding work at all on this type of material? I have OCD and all the slight imperfects (finger prints, slight unevenness, etc.) would drive me nuts if I couldn't attempt to smooth them out before painting it, lol.

  • @BridgeChan Um, it's paper clay so I don't think sanding works. But you can try it with fine sandpaper. Otherwise, go for a heavier clay or paper mache. Or even use a smoothing paste on it...

  • @Evalrie Ahh, ok. I guess getting my hands on some of the magiclay and testing it would be a good idea on my part, lol. I love how simple you made it look in this tutorial, but yet it looks so beautifully elegant <3

  • Cool!

  • Whats paper magiclay?

    Is there a substitute?

Cause I really wanna try this. =]

  • @Hannahiscooltothemax It's paper clay, really. I guess you can use really thick paper mache or even just clay itself. I used paper clay cos I didn't want a heavy thing on my head. Especially as Chi wears her crown on an angle...>.>

  • @Evalrie alrighty thank you.

  • @Hannahiscooltothemax Crayola makes some stuff like this. I'm pretty sure it's called model magic. They sell it in tubs at pretty much any craft store or Staples or any place like that. It's basically really light weight play-doh.

  • i love your videos :)

  • gracias me quedo re bien arigato

  • thank you so much for posting this! :D It's going to help me a lot with my Vivaldi crown! Also I love how you played the chobits theme--super cute!

  • this is so cute, thanks! :)

i see in the photo in the crown there is a red material inside the crown?

what is it and how can i out that in mine? :)

  • @carolinedinh just cut a piece of red circle about 1.5-2 x the diameter of the crown. stick down the sides of circle on the bottom of the crown and stick the middle of circle to the top of the crown. That should work, I think. ^^

  • Oh I really want to try this! I love your videos your so creative. Keep up the fantastic work!!!

  • Nice, simple and easy =D

    I like it ^^

    Thank you =D

  • kyaa-- thankyou very much for uploading^^ this was very helpful XD

  • Thx! ^^ I looked everywhere for tute on a crown like this, then decided to make my own. X3
