Then someone said "It's cos you aren't using the steel fist combo, The combo means you gotta shoot run hit, not shoot, wait, shoot someone else, wait, run hit, run hit. It has to be instant, shoot, run, hit. " Tried it and finally unlocked it. (Slow motion and unlimited ammo on)

Thanks a lot. I tried a lot on various levels, I dont know if it was the blindfire method or just this level, but I did it first try.

You dont even need to skip the black suited guys. To clarify just run around willy nilly blindfire while you are close enough and press square as soon as you can. As long as you dont kill anyone in between all of these kills you should get it.

On VERY EASY just run up to them and hit square. No need to shoot, at least thats what I did, I tried it only once, Looked at my statistics and saw that it counted and I did it 9 more times and just got it. let some people see this with a thumbs up 1/03/11

stay away from fellas dressed in black, kill the lads in grey as they're easier to kill. you're more likely to get stuck in a fight with the lads dressed in black but with the lads in silver its always one punch

hey, thanks, it's easier than I imagined, I was using the AK-47, one shot is suficient to kill in one punch, but just the gray colored enemies, the black ones are stronger, so I had dificult, the 45 is exelent to do this.

@Drjimbillybob What animation he does is random I guess, but it doesn't matter. If you get a shot without aiming and killing the enemy with the square button, you got yourself a steel fist kill.

Question: In Uncharted 1, you can restart from a checkpoint or do the desired task and die and just keep redoing the action over and over like this until you get the "in a row" trophy/medal. Can you do the same in Uncharted 2?

@levirocks22 Not if you're following my instructions. I know this trophy can be gotten with aiming to, but that requires knowledge about each enemy, where to shoot them and how many shots. If you wanna aim, you should look elsewhere for tips on how to accurately do so and get this trophy. If not, I suggest you follow my instructions:) Good luck.

With the guys wearing black, I always just shot them twice in the chest with the ak47 before punching them, which would only take one punch. I didn't know you couldn't use L1 to aim for this medal.

Doesn't matter if you drop kick or slide under him. What matters is that you have to shoot from the hip (meaning not aiming). Do NOT AIM. That's where most people mistake when getting this trophy.

guys in black die after 3 shots when you aim with L1. To kill the guys with black after one shot and punch, you just need to run up to them hit R1 to fire from hip then square to melee...it took me ages to do this trophy and the only reason was because i was doing it wrong by using L1 to aim, then I just used R1 to shoot and got the trophy on first attempt. Best tip you can get for this trophy is.... DO NOT AIM WITH L1

I'm confused. It seems with my game things are different. The guys with the black outfits don't die after ONE shot + punch . They die after two shots and multiple punches. however three shots kill them instantly.

Also, i thought of just ignoring the guys in black then. And i did do it ten times in a row.

And i did not get the thropy. i got all others, but this one seems to have issues.

Do more people have this problem?

Are you playing on "Very Easy"? I know a lot of people have trouble with this. Make sure you do NOT aim.

I did try it most on 'very easy', also tried it on 'easy' and 'normal'. And the dying seems to be the same everywhere.

Does it make a difference that i have a European version?

My sister has the same game on a newer PS3 system than mine, and seems to have different glitches than i had.

But we're both experiencing a lot of glitches. That makes me uncertain of the possiblity of getting the steel fist thropy. It's the last one left for me. I will try to hipshoot. :-)

@CrazzzyCat I have the same problem as you (with the Australian release of the game). Guys in black armour do NOT die after one or two shots + one punch as shown in the video, and three shots kills. Maybe there was a patch that made the black armour dudes stronger? I guess they overlooked that it basically makes the achievement impossible. GG.

@CrazzzyCat Actually I did eventually manage to complete this. For the normal dudes I used the .45 Defender, and for the black armoured ones I switched to "Chloe's .45 Defender" which you can buy from the Store after finishing the game. Chloe's gun is more powerful than the standard pistol and one shot + punch will do it on the black guys. It will instakill the grey guys, so remember to switch as required. Good luck.
