I miss Lefty Link. They should have kept him left handed in the Wii games. I can easily play Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword with the controller in my left hand and the nunchuk in my right with no problems. Why couldn't right handed people do that? -_-

Truth is that the Wii version is the one that's backwards. They were originally making the game for Gamecube and later decided to port it to the Wii. However, Nintendo found it strange to be using a Wiimote with your right hand to control Link's left hand, so, being lazy, Nintendo decided to flip the entire game around rather than find a better solution.
N64 IS slower than the gamecube but still loads up good graphics for the games and the wii is faster than the gamecube but the gamecube loads up good graphics too
its all about if you like to sit around and wait or have things load quicker thats all, the content and graphics are pretty much the same.........if you get me
GO TO THE NEAREST STORE and get the Wii version or get on the internet the GameCube version (both are great, but the GC version uses the traditional pad nd Link is lefthanded, while the Wii version gets to a higher res, it adapts the 16/9 format, the entire game is on mirror mode, Link is righthanded, and you use the Wiimote to play...)
Can anyone tell me why the cheapest I can find this game for the GC is £35, but I can find it on the Wii for £25?? I don't have a Wii so it's kind of annoying that it's cheaper on that system :( Plus, I thought it would have decreased in price a bit after so many years!

Ocarina of Time was (and still is) my favourite game ever, so I always meant to get round to Twilight Princess. I never fancied getting a Wii though, so bought the Gamecube version instead a couple of years back when I saw a good deal on a new copy. Just as I was about to start it, I bought a PS3 for Bluray playback...and got some games free, and that distracted me. I'm about 6 hours in now though, in two sessions, and I'm loving it.
@skapista92 this game is aviable only on gamecube and wii... i downloaded the wii version... you can find it on the web site wiisos using a program called Jdownloader
you can have more information once you're on the site... oh I was forgetting... the site is in spanish... translate it with google if you don't know the language !
@skapista92 don't worry you can use a free program called "imgburn" you can find it even this to on google.... it's a free program... or anyway you can use nero ... (the best is the 7) you can find it on emule... because is not free... after all once the program is download... make a click on the image file and burn it at the minimal burn !
@NkillerSodaXe Don't forget Link is reincarnated so each Link is different, therefore their height, age, foot size and main hand will not be the same.
Although, i do think they should allow you to change which hand you prefer to hold your sword depending on what hand you use (also changes the in game Link main hand to use).
@mcunnigham1995 They Changed that in the wii version, because you use the wiimote for swordplay, and since most players are right handed, they had change it.
They also mirrored the wii version COMPLETLY, because the GC version had some parts made for left handed link, and if link Mirrors, the game must too, to make it fit.

Well, only master quest for the gamecube was actually different from the original. And all that was changed was only some puzzles and enemies. All the others were just ports to other consoles, so you could play it on those too, because it was such a popular game. But in the remake for the 3DS, they're really going to change things. Probably no major changes, but just better graphics, small changes in locations, new interesting things and stuff.
if you notice, in wii version, link uses the sword in the right arm and on the gamecube and all zeldas he uses on the left arm. i think that is the only differences.
@calinos80 Yes the whole map is mirrored on the Wii version. Cause in Ocarina of Time the Gerudo Desert is located in the west and in the wii version of Twilight Princess it's located in the east and west on the gamecube version of Twilight Princess.
They could've made the Wii version COMPATIBLE with GC Controller... I was shocked when I found out it... well, ok, not shocked par-se... but still. It would've been nice.

Well the Wii was crafted for entertainment with family's. Like a parent is going to give a toss about Shaders and awesome graphics. If you want amazing graphics get a PS3 or Xbox 360. Im not a fan boy, Pick any of the 2 they both have ups and downs.

the wii is capable of much more...... just compare the graphic of Mario Sunshine(GC) with Mario Galaxy (Wii).
At E3 in June you'll see the real zelda for the Wii..... it should blow you away.

With a cheap feeling wii mote? Sorry no way, the controls for Wii were a second thought. I've played both versions and the Gamecube is by far the best because the game was originally designed for the Gamecube. That being said...the game is still pretty bad for a Zelda game. Don't go buying this game expecting much from either the Gamecube or the Wii version.
I hadn't heard anything about this being on Gamecube...i only saw adverts for wii... anyways... just goes to show that the Wii isn't that much of an upgrade if any from the GC... just a new gimmik control system ( which isn't a bad thing)...

It's dstrange, `cause the Wii version was released after the Gamecube version.
But, this game was designed for the Gamecube. (Sorry with I made a mistake writing here. I'm from Brazil).

This Game is only for game cube because Link use left hand in order to attack with sword.Wii version suck

They could've made the Wii version COMPATIBLE with GC Controller... I was shocked when I found out it... well, ok, not shocked par-se... but still. It would've been nice.

If you want to play it with a Gamecube controller, THEN BY THE FRIKIN GAMECUBE VERSION!! Besides, it's not like the Wii isn't compatible with Gamecube games.

yep, even Metroid Prime, the original one on GC that came out in 2002, looks exactly the same (maybe a bit better) as Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii.

Well the Wii was crafted for entertainment with family's. Like a parent is going to give a toss about Shaders and awesome graphics. If you want amazing graphics get a PS3 or Xbox 360. Im not a fan boy, Pick any of the 2 they both have ups and downs.

@jason854656 : that's because nintendo wanted the two version to be exactly similar.... minus the controls, same for metroid prime 1 and 2, they're just ports.
the wii is capable of much more...... just compare the graphic of Mario Sunshine(GC) with Mario Galaxy (Wii).
At E3 in June you'll see the real zelda for the Wii..... it should blow you away.

With a cheap feeling wii mote? Sorry no way, the controls for Wii were a second thought. I've played both versions and the Gamecube is by far the best because the game was originally designed for the Gamecube. That being said...the game is still pretty bad for a Zelda game. Don't go buying this game expecting much from either the Gamecube or the Wii version.

yeah, the Wii version is actually a mirrored version of the Gamecube, so everything is the opposite way round lol

I hadn't heard anything about this being on Gamecube...i only saw adverts for wii... anyways... just goes to show that the Wii isn't that much of an upgrade if any from the GC... just a new gimmik control system ( which isn't a bad thing)...
