Too bad pedigree is crappy food. It has corn as the first ingredient. Along with by product meals and corn gluten meal. This stuff shouldn't be allowed on the shelves. If you feed pedigree, you are killing your dog.

a friend that works with my mom at ms spine clinic..is a professional dog trainer and has dachsunds. basset hounds, and labs. per this trainer. if you start the dog off on some type of special raw meat, it is FAR healthier for the dog for his lifetime. to be honest..im not sure how or why that is true, butsomething about their digestive system is made for raw chicken or something. I dont get it. but she has a smooth mini dachsund that is over 16 years old and still goes for walks with her.
