Looks great. I really wish we were able to set aside a space for an office/school room. It would be a blessing. We are reworking our setup now that we have a 7 month old and a baby on the way.
@raisingbushs Well...this is for now. But if we should ever find out we're expecting, then...this room is a toss up. WE live ina 3 bedroom home- my two girls share a room although my oldest would really like her own. So with them sharing we got to use the "extra" room for a class/office. If I am ever expecting (which I kinda hope would be soon) I will most likely have to give up this room. We've managed to be really creative before about making learning spaces w/ little space
@easyhomeschooler Thats how we are at the moment. Our son & daughter share because they are so young. We use the 3rd bedroom for the office/school/storage at the moment but with baby #3 on the way we are slowly switching everything around.
Good Morning!! I just wanted to know if you allow your pre-schooler free access to the center bins, and how well she works independently with those? I'm schooling 3x the children you are so I'm always looking for ways to help foster some independence!!
Yes, I do allow her free access to the center bins. I use centers as a way to give her some guided educational activities that help with specific skills (math, small motor, puzzle, language arts, etc.) while I focus on teaching my older daughter. Then when I'm ready to focus on my preschooler, we switch from centers to my planned curricula for the day. Rule: one drawer at a time on centers and clean up before moving on to next center.
