  • I agree w/ ferrgus19. Don't get me wrong, I'm REALLY REALLY glad this film is getting made, and look forward to seeing it, but... Dangerous Birds, Salem 66, Liz & Karla from Orchestra Luna, Lori Doll, Pseudo Carol, Jane Hudson, not to mention all of us music writers who certainly helped to *promote* the scene...

  • Wicked Pissah!!

  • Awesome project. A lot of great bands (and memories) for sure. But the film producers should note that there were girls from nowhere too -- and they were not groupies! Carmen Monoxide played bass with the Girls, Baby's Arm and the Marc Thor Band back in the day. And what about Barb Kitson of Thrills (now sadly deceased)? It's true that the scene was heavy on testosterone -- all the more reason to turn the spotlight on what women on the scene were doing, if only to mention the zines.

  • @ferrgus19 Thanks for your support...So far, we've interviewed Miss Lyn of the Boston Groupie News, Joanie Lindstrom of the Late Risers Club and we will interview more women. I don't think you should take the title so literally. It's not meant as an affront to women in music. It's actually just named after a DMZ song.

  • This is incredibly awesome.. I see Mrs. Lyn, I see Blowfish, I see Carl, I see Brett, I see Frank.... Thank you for doing this...

  • @KTVBOSTON Thanks for saying that! They were all really fun to interview. And we just want to show how cool these bands are and hopefully make an enjoyable movie.

  • This is a movie I want to see.

  • I hope Kenne Highland would be in the documentary, btw I really love that Boston rock scene and all the bands and artists who made it so great...

    Greetings from Italy! :)

  • @COGENTCOG Kenne's in it.

  • yeah

  • What is the release date?

  • @spofcher1 Hard to say as we're still in production--but probably Spring/Summer, 2012.

  • Wicked pissah. (And really, is there any higher praise than that?)

  • This looks like a wicked awesome, kick-ass trip down Memory Lane! Can't wait to see more... :)

  • can't wait to see the entire doc!

  • really great! "Why aren't you a millionaire by now"-ROBERT JOHN BRODEUR FEB. 2002
