(See Deuteronomy 22:28-29) Where the punishment of a rapist is to be pay the brides price to the victims family and marry her. Two things that they are indicted for—haughtiness and wantonness, directly contrary to that modesty, shamefacedness, and sobriety, with which women ought to adorn themselves (1 Tim. 2:9) It was because of their "haughtiness and wantonness" that God took away their jewelery not because it's a sin to have it.

Otherwise we are portraying the Word the way we see it, putting in our words and in our image. Let the Word stand for itself. If you have convictions, live them. This is silliness. We know that a lot of the laws in the Old Testament were brutal. (See Deuteronomy 22:28-29) Where the punishment of a rapist is to be pay the brides price to the victims family and marry her. Stonings, rape and slavery are archaic and we should ignore this bad advice from the good book. Speak to 100 preachers and get 100 different interpretations. Bible contradictions abound. That does not mean we still do not see the value and learn to believe in Christ through the bible via the Holy Spirit. The bible is nothing without Christ or the Holy Spirit. On that all should agree, or they put power of the bible over and above Christ.

But these things shouldn't just be avoided in church, but all the time. No women should dress like that. Two things that they are indicted for—haughtiness and wantonness, directly contrary to that modesty, shamefacedness, and sobriety, with which women ought to adorn themselves (1 Tim. 2:9) It was because of their "haughtiness and wantonness" that God took away their jewelery not because it's a sin to have it.

Forgiveness is to admit your sinful ways to the Lord and the Lord will forgive you like it never happened. But the bible says to forgive one another 7 times 70. That means eveyday. So the Lord can forgive you everyday if your are sincerely trying to repent and change your ways. You are right, u cant continue to purposely sin just because His grace abides with you.

He is speaking the bible in a literal translation and no deviation either. It is gospel preaching in its puriest from, however, some of what he says is off the wall, and beyond funny then at the same time, its the bible. I could not sit under his preaching because I feel it does not come from a good place. He seems judgemental and egotistical, not traits in a pastor I want to be around. Although, when I am at work or bored at home I watch him and laugh and be entertained.

Actually Tony Smith's is not of the only Christian church that is strict about apparrel and looks. Catholics preach poverty and modersty. Seventh Day Adventist's don't encourage makeup and jewelry and often you can't wear more than a bit of lippie. Salvos are also often very down to earth too, just wearing a uniform or looking very natural.
I'm Presbyteriuan and we have no dress code but I've still been subject to negative comments from men when I overstep the mark.
