  • this is an absolutely SHIT job. (You don't even need a high school degree to install dishes)..... and having to work in shitty weather and shitty buildings, it gets old quick. I liked installing my own dish, and wiring my entire house MYSELF (would never let a "tech" touch anything in my home).......but I could not imagine doing that EVERY SINGLE DAY!! Must be a blast putting together those dishes every day, and running cable in sub zero temps....LOL....pathetic

  • Pour some salt on that wound, Direct TV!! - As Joplin victims call Direct TV to cancel their service due to homes completely wip...ed off the map, they are being told to send in a box or remote control or pay a fine of $500+ to cancel service. DirectTV should be boycotted. Tell their employees to go to these former HOMES and find their remote controls... RE-POST TO GET THIS TO GO VIRAL !!!!!!This is INEXCUSABLE

  • I work for a sub contractor and all I can say is Fuck Direct TV. They are one cheap mother fuckin company that don't want to pay tech's for their hard work! I hope somebody or organization will try and fight for the tech's.

  • Sadly it is time for you to strike and tell DirecTV to pay you for work or go fuck themselves.

    but they dont care they will replace you in a heartbeat with a Sub Contractor that will throw in the system any which way, fuck it up. Then send a DirecTV contractor (you) to fix it and when you realize it cant be resolved because it should have not been done in the first place. They back charge you for going there and not fixing it and send another tech to try to fix it only to get the same result

  • The biggest problem that employees are facing right now is DIRECTV hi-def Service. Customers that had standard service combined with CableTV service were told they would get a free upgrade.

    Directv refuses to pay you for a new install and expects you to combine all services properly for a meager upgrade pay instead of a new install. Employees begin to connect services knowing it is not going to work and the company blames you and not their technology for the failures.

  • Amen brother, speaking as a former employee of DirecTV in New York you have to realize the big politics with Directv. They dont care about you!

    The Union we formed fought to get us overtime pay when we worked more than 40 hours a week. The contractor I worked for counteracted this by falsely implementing TR back charges up to $100 a paycheck. You should know what that terminology means.

    Young at heart and making big bucks by deregulation. Thats the company you are working for!
