@hdregmore tranisitioning the film stock to digital depends on the equipment used to capture the image. this has not alwasy been very perfect & early digital storage mediums not very reliable . then in playback it suffers more problems because of the technology used to play it .

considered for 30yrs now jet fighters, have a far higher thrust to weight ratio, which means at take off they can climb straight up, (no wing lift there) at 40,000ft a minute planes that weigh 60,000pds + -so a little plastic sheet metal box powered by a small fanjet is no big technical problem in lifting department here, whats so hard to belive ?
