  • Can a man have a good income, be faithful, have a good heart, be trustworthy, N2 the church, know his responsibilities, and take care of his priorities but not have a college degree or a desire to pursue one and still be considered a "Good Man"??

That puts people in a box like that something you HAVE to do. I make good money and I don't really have a desire to go to college. (I) will be going because of the career i've chosen but what about the good brothers who don't have that blk checked off?

  • I guess to sum this all up is that women and men in general needs to communicate strongly in addition with having a strong friendship = relationship, honesty, trustworthy, support, and to not expect for their spouse to be perfect. And if most of that is meant then I guess a great relationship can be pull off for a lifetime!

  • Honest, Brutal Truth: Women, if you go looking for men in bars or clubs and then are surprised when he cheats...what did you expect? Most men don't change their basic traits, if they're honest and dependable when you meet them, they'll probably be that way all the way through, but you're not going to be able to change a bad man through the power of your love into a good one. Fish in better holes (like church), and you'll get better catches (but most of them are more traditional)

  • whenever white man cause you a problem, just blame yourself.

  • I'm glad to see this conversation is going on in public. It needs to be discussed. Of course, the problem is not just for black folks. The decline of marriage across teh board is hurting our nation and our culture. Black folks happen to suffer from this out of proportion with the rest of the population, though.

  • when will these women learn that having a degree and gaining some financial success isn't what makes you wife material...don't get me wrong those are great things but they in no way make you compatible...being loyal, attractive enough, not being hooked on drugs/alcohol, and always being affectionate is what will make a guy put a ring on it...BW if you can't get with that then enjoy being with each other...imo BW are the best looking women walking on earth but looks aren't everything lol...

  • Jackie Reid is gorgeous

  • YES! Each couple needs to establish their roles in the relationship. Whether the man is a stay at home dad or the woman is a stay at home mom. Men need to know as well that being a man is not all about making more money but also about being a good father, listening and just taking care of his family in ways where money is not needed.

  • Not ignoring what they are saying but we are a part of the USA.

Which has many different cultures. And respect to people's personal preferences and standards but limiting oneself based on race, knowing the 'supposed' statistics is making it hard for oneself. I will date a woman of any race. Ususally it is the first one who agrees to a date whether she's black, native american, indian, asian, hispanic or european.

  • @nichirenx

    Yeah same here.

  • @MrShenzhenGuy You would not imagine the flack I have gotten for doing so. I figure if I have to change my clothing style, my interests, and the circles I rotate in for a woman, then she is not for me. And it just so happens that locally the majority women who are childless and around my age who share my interests are of a different ethnic group than I. And the ones who do share my ethnic group and interests , date outside their ethnic group.

  • College does NOT guarantee success. If you look back at our educational system 50 yrs ago and look at it today you will see that today's "masters degree" is comparable to the education obtained by the avg high school grad. Our nation is imploding and I believe their is a concerted effort by the "New World Order Crowd" to purposely dumb us down. We need Jesus, morals and good role models. TV is destroying our society. We must unite (blacks and whites) and protect our Constitution & families.

  • The woman at 3:29 was on point! We need to hear what she said more often. America has brainwashed females to believe the lie that they can take on various roles and perform them all well. But they can't. Then America doesn't hold females responsible and accountable when they fail their children and fail their fellow man- esp in areas of fudiciary responsibilities.

  • Re: ''Chris Brown and Rhianna'' Sherri listen...........there was no father to tell Rhianna to KEEP HER DAMN HANDS TO HERSELF. How bout that?

  • The beautiful lady said it best at the end; you can’t have your cake and eat it too. It may be you have to put the relationship goals on hold; it won’t be fair to your child, the other person, or your career if it is demanding all of you. Traditional men and modern don’t mix.

  • Woman cannot enter the dating pool in their 30's and 40's this is the dirty trick the femenists and the colleges have played on the BW. Now she is scrambling like a quarter back in the 4th quarter.

  • actualy dude, winnie Mandela is an ass hole, she lives by the fame of Nelson but that woman is clearly insane, no wonder nelson left her

  • Life is about Life, not cars and careers,When you get back to the purpose of life then we will fix the problem.Thats why African kings had more then 1 wife ,life is made that way.

  • STEVE HARVEY == MANGINA, GETTING RICH BY TELLING THE WHORISH BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN THAT SHE'S SPECIAL AND STRONG. LOL. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP!!

there is absolutely nothing strong about today's MODERN black american women! And there won't be anytime soon. They're too rude and nasty! Have you noticed that family oriented black men are looking beyond black american women these days? CAN YOU BLAME THEM?!! I CAN'T!!!

  • marriage has not changed people have

  • That's what I said. The family has to focus on the actions of their youth. Like Gooding Jr's movie, based on true story, Gifted Hands. The man had a bad education and was about to flow the bad childhood, but his mother kept his confidence and turned off that tv. the kids she had even said "howre we going to survive without tv" and you think on this . . . is tv actually even a necessity? Then again, if you watch, they watch eventually. So it takes, I don't like to say sacr-, but it take removals

  • It all goes back to the family, one person at the wheel is not enough. Two at the wheel is great, but two at the wheel with blurred vision is another problem. But once the family is dealt with and put in check all these symptoms will be healed.

  • Ok mothers are great, so are fathers. A child should have both parents doing for them. I feel as if they are painting this picture where the mother is doing everything and the father, if ther, is just sitting down, drinking beer and watching football. That is why you make sure that man is responsible and you have really gotten to know him before you lay down and have kids. Simple as that.
