Dave lost his memory, because during the hole 80's decade they where cracked out. Sometimes artist do there best work on drugs. It helps them to open up the creative side of there brain. The 80's is known to be the biggest drug decade of all time. All the popular artist Duran Duran, Madonna, Cure, so on and so on will tell you they where useing drugs alot of drugs during that time.
@DeAnn909 yeah the 80s, biggest for drugs, as long as we dont mention the drug fueled sixties, phew, think we got away with it, spouting rubbish and all that.
I think Dave was jokeing about not remembering Some Great .. because there were so many hits off that album. It really was there first huge album, he probably wants to forget it .
dave has a great cheery attitude. a lot of artists tend to shun their earlier material and refuse to talk about it...can yu imagine asking radiohead to talk about pablo honey? lol
l.o.l some great reward was the first album of there's I remember listening to.7 years after the album came out though=)I never get sick of them.favorite band.
Yes, yes!! My lookalike is so near to dave on this interview!!But my lookalike is not something compulsory, it´s just natural/normal!!Maybe u and me(matty)we could be Depeche´s imitators!!
that´s true...DM fans have many illusions concerning the band but the truth is that Dave contributed with his voice, Martin did the demos but the studio work was mainly done by Alan, Daniel and Gareth Jones. Some Great Reward was basically done by Alan Wilder.
Yes, you are right..Though Alan did most of the studio work, without Martin´s songs there would have been no Depeche. I had to correct my opinion upon hearing some of the demos that Martin made and they were almost complete congs with most of the melody lines, synth "solos" etc... Martin deserves a lot of respect
yeah no denying what a brilliant musician alan is. He certainly did a lot for the band. It just seems to be the popular thing amongst depeche fans to give him way too much praise
Your almost right about, "Without Martin's songs there would be no DM." But little do people know, it was O.M.D that had a huge influnce on Vince Clarke which inspired him to form DM. And without O.M.D Depeche Mode wouldnt be around today.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love you Dave! You are soooooooooooo funny! He's got sooo much humor, and he's the cutest thing ever (except for Alan...! I love him too!)
hmmm,i never realy personaly considered him to be a handsome man but i admit i was wrong,he's actualy pretty good looking :P (the music is awsome either way)
OMG!! Dave is sooo funny and so hot:D His laugh is so wonderful! I'm in love with this guy! Damn, Some Great Reward? I can't even remember that album!" :P:P But i can't believe that his accent changed this much! Wow American Dave, I mean, it's cool too but not as sweet as the cute Basildon-Boy:D
Oi! Stop the fight sandro and paulbuss! I think Vince leaving DM is a win-win situation for both him and the band. Vince gets to work with Alf Moyet when he formed Yaz(who I personally think had a great voice) and then formed Erasure. Meanwhile, DM somewhat won when Vince left because Martin took over and made great compositions for DM that we continue to enjoy until today. Nuff said!
3:21 Dave has quite a sense of humor
I almost believed him for a second xD
