  • I love this game here! It was one of the first NES games I ever beat. I have the first Goonies game for Famicom as well and I must say the sequel was a big improvement over the original. The side scrolling scenes definitely remind me of the Symphony of the Night-style Castlevania games with the map and all and it was fun punching walls, old hags, Konami Man all over the place in the 3D parts :)

  • @Soukyugurentai Ohya, I remember the first Goonies game being much more linear.

  • great vid buddy

  • @JasonRelaxation Thanks dude

  • I remember this game and legacy of the wizard as games me and my friends would stay up all night trying to beat...

  • @GeekerDays Man, that was another tough one too

  • I swear to god Imust be the only one who beat this game without any guide or help, some of the stuff is so cryptic. One part of the game U have to punch the guy 5 times to proceed in the room, and each time u punch him there is no real reaction or clue. Also there is no clue anywhere that u need to do this. I must have been out of my mind that I happened to randomly defeat this challenge even, and totally beat this impossible game.Similar thing castlevania 2 did, being imposisble without a guide.

  • @duhmez Yeah, I beat this game before too without a guide and I remember beating it without finding a candle. It was very annoying going through rooms in the dark but yet it's still possible to beat the game.

  • @starsoldier1 Damn, I just found out that's how you get that damn Candle now.

  • Quick story about this very cryptic and hard game. I am officially awesome. Way back when this was new I rented it. 10 minutes into it I thought I hated it cause I didn't know where to go, cause nonlinear. Then I got a flu and stayed home for a week. What happened is amazing. I BEAT THIS GAME. I did not have nintendo power. I had no strategy guide. I had no internet. I did not call the nintendo help line. I did not consult a friend. Me myself, figured it all and AND BEAT THIS BITCH!!!

  • Very underated game. The Metroid formula worked nice in this game.

  • @78StriderHiryu Yeah, the 3D rooms slow down a lot of the action for me at least so it's not perfect.

  • @somebutthead Man, Dr. Chaos is even worse then Friday the 13th.

  • For some reason whenever I play Goonies I & II it always makes me think of Lode Runner. =P

They were both decent little action/adventure games though.

  • @NEScapades Ohya, graphics and sprites look kinda similar.

  • The Goonies 2!!

    The Goonies 2!!

How can you not like the Goonies?

  • @cuttock Is that a song?

  • I played the hell out of this game!!!!! I was so happy to get part one for the Famicom!!! Thanks for the review!!!

  • @jillpoo3 Yeah, the Famicom only one is pretty good too.

  • i love this game now but didnt care tooo much for it as a kid.

  • @vinnieblacklodge

I never played this. This is what is so cool about STarSoldier1, he shows you games you'd NEVER think of playing.

I'll try it tonight. Yeah, I admit I will try it on an on emulator lol.

  • @cuttock Well, finding the actual cart can be difficult, eh?

  • @vinnieblacklodge It was a pretty tough game when I was a kid especially in the 3D parts.

  • I guess since it is not gonna be on the Virtual Console then we would have to buy this game somewhere. It looks alright

  • @HollowayMultimedia Yeah, for a early NES game it plays very well.
