  • Nice solo performance! I've been wanting to do something like this

any pointers on the progression here? and scales used?

  • hey great vid! what purple thing are you using at 04:00 ? I saw John Butler using it and since then I been wondering what it is

  • @AngryHippiesInc - It's actually black (although I see the purple flash on the vid), and it's called an Ebow.

  • I love loops, and you really shined through here!! Such clarity in tone, of the treble, and how are you getting such a good bass response? Is that a really low D you're playing in?

  • @zenfreestyler - Hey, thanks. The low notes are courtesy of an octave pedal, set for an octave below of course. It's kind of glitchy, but if played carefully it can work well for a fretless bass sound.

  • ebow part is orgiastic

  • amazing, what key and scale is this?

  • How many warmoths have you got?! xD Do you mix and match neck and bodies every now and then? Any lessons learned from building guitars? Any do's and don't's? This tune just about brought me to tears, so very beautiful! The slide was incredible!

  • Hi roger, you're all an artist, the truth is you'll quickly see your videos and listen, still well and still making more videos that are worth it comfortable to see them (not like mine I'm a mess), congratulations and congratulations .

    P. S.

sorry for not writing in correct English, it is translated by google.

  • hey man, this is really great! i was wondering how you got your guitar sounding so much like a sitar? is it any specific picking technique?

  • This is a fretless guitar. That is why it sounds like a sitar - there is slight buzzing of the strings against the wood.

  • @uriw1989 quite relaxing..

  • where are the cycles .. sum and khali ... its a nice but of world fusion in simple time .. start with teental and accent ..

  • There is nothing authentically Indian about this piece, sorry. Just a bit of "world fusion" as you say. I dig the sounds, but I don't know any formal structures in Indian music.

  • Hey man great work. I really enjoy your playing and you seem to have a great style. keep this up man!

    peace

  • wow, this is awsome. At first, i'm surprised by how you are constructing things, and them i'm simply in awe; beautifull work!

  • Great stuff as usual Roger-

  • ha, that was really amazing, i love the sound

  • Hey thanks, glad you enjoyed it. They are in fact steel flatwounds, they're on an incredibly cheap ebay fretless that doesn't sound to bad for it's price.

  • is that a chili dog? Great playing as usual

  • Well good eye/ear my friend! It sure is. Doesn't work too well on the lowest notes, which ironically is where you need it most... but sorta cool anyway.

  • Nice!

  • Thanks Matt - I enjoyed the improv piece on your MySpace too. Cool, peaceful stuff. Nylon fretless?
