Simple, really. She's holding her head in her hands because she has eaten a Kodama attack from the opponent, and after this, this attack hasn't dangerously filled her field enough to make change her standard animation to a "danger" animation.

That ending credit song was also used in the Twinbee Drama and the min series for the opening and closing credits, so I knew it sounded very familiar.

By Twinbee Drama, you mean the Drama CDs ? I own a few of them, and I can't remember having heard it on more than two of them (The "Stereo Drama Twinbee Paradise" volumes 1 & 2, with the 1 having the Paradise Mix version and the second the standard one). Is this song in other Drama CDs than those two ?

Don't know as I haven't heard very many of the drama's (Nico Nico Douga has several of them up), it is used in every episode of the short anime though).
