Her decision shows her strength of character! She's got it in her to get to the bitter end. Money does not guarantee happiness in the long run. Cosi doesn't see further than his nose. She can lose the weight with hard work, at home; and I doubt that she really has all that much more to learn about exercise and nutrition, unless she hasn't been paying attention so far. Besides, leaving would have actually given her teammates each a higher percentage chance of winning the overall competition.

I think one of her real reasons for staying had more to do with things she didn't mention to Cosi. I'd bet you anything that it had more to do with her mom and her grandmother's "dying wish" that she be on the program. And the fact that she didn't want to let her team/friends down. And those are some of the best reasons I can think of to stay there.
